Homemade soap has people envisioning Granny Clampett around the Ce Ment pond making soap and stirring it with a paddle that dissolves in the strong lye. Jethro took the paint right off washing the truck. Real soap is made using lye as part of the process but there is NO lye in the finnished soap. Real soap has glycerin and this keeps your skin moist and also there is no need for hair cream rinse. Glycerin is the big money part of the soap an all the big mfgs strip it out of the soap where is has been used for munitions to cometics since 1900. What they do is add very cheap detergent to the product to boost ability of the product to stip oils and dirt off the skin. Then they come back and sell you cream rinse so your hair is not dry as hay stack. This soap has light aromatic oils for scent. Not for hunting where no scent is wanted. Each bar lasts with once a day use about 3 weeks The price of this is competitive and a good deal when added to an archery supply order. If you live in the north your skin will notice the difference in the cold dry months. This is not some beauty bar it is good stuff.

My husband and I use this everyday. It leaves you feelinng VERY clean, yet without an after smell. Does not dry out skin. Works to hide scent, but we also put this soap in our guest bathrooms. Both are multi-purpose and smell different, but the big difference is the cornmeal in the 3R Hunter's Mask provides a "roughness" for exfoliating. Same soap also comes with a Loofa sponge built right in.
