I bought the 12" version the same time I bought some Woodsman broadheads. I wanted a file big enough so I could lay the heads flat for sharpening. Even though I couldn't get the heads sharp (factory grind issues) the file worked excellent. I'd buy this this file again.

Grobet makes the best files on the market.Use chalk on the file and it will outlast you.Chalk keeps the particles of steel from being imbedded in the teeth.

I use the 12" file to sharpen Snuffers. With the file flat on the table I push the Snuffers against the file. It gets them very sharp and only takes a few minutes to ready four broadheads for the woods.

Bought this file for three blade broadheads. Worked great. No doubt it would be great to start an edge on two bladers too. I went with the 8in file for easier use. Sure takes off the rough edge to start out fresh for a razor edge. I went with a Stubby Jewelstik Diamond Hone Sharpener and a leather strop to finish up an razor sharp edge. Just as God intended. Grobet files are very well made. They lay flat on my homemade sharpening jigs. Nickolson files are not flat. They have a twist in them that makes them useless for angled sharpening jigs. The grobets are really nice files.

Three Rivers goofed packing my files the first time. The box arrived with a hole in it and no files. They proimptly shipped two more files. These arrived with the tangs sticking out of the box. If you order, order by phone and insist that they pack them decently.

This is a great little file to keep in the ditty bag. I also got the wood handle to go with it. I can keep my broadheads razor sharp, and it only takes a few passes with this handy little file to do the job. Small enough to carry, but large enough to be effective. A great little file.

The grobet is a very good file.I really like the way it grabs the edge of the broadhead to give the perfect edge as it glides across the grain of the metle.Sometimes i use my stubby diamond but most of the time i don't even have to bother.

Good file, this file will leave a good smooth edge making it easier to polish on a stone to finish the edge, I will say I think it helps to chalk the file before you use it to sharpen blades or broadheads, it will keep the file cleaner and they say it helps in leaving a smooth edge. Grobet files are clean and strong. I bought all three sizes and each is very useful in its own way. I put antler handles on the two smaller ones, so I can take them to the blades. The twelve inch file was left without a handle for ease in sharpening two broadhead blades at once. They are all superb.
