I used these broadheads for two years, really liked them. I find that if you prep them right then they are indestructible and deadly. I shot a deer and hog with these heads and really was impressed with penetration and the blood trail my only complaint was that I could not get them to stop whistling other than that a perfect head, but because of the whistling I switched back to zwickey deltas if you can get them to stop whistling then you have the perfect broadhead

Plan on burning a lot of calories and increasing the strength of your hand muscles in trying to get a truly sharp edge on these points. My 6 pack of points took over 2 hours to sharpen with a nice set of diamond stones. The problem is that the grind on the mid section of the all the edges is very slightly concave which makes getting an even edge that can be sharpened open a flat stone a workout. Other than the poor grind they are strong will do the job, and your hand muscles will be the envy of all your friends.

26 years of bowhunting and tried them all.Overall this is the best broadhead period. The only time I would use something different is for dangerous game because of the toughness factor.

Comments about Woodsman Broadheads 125gr Glue-On 6-Pack:
I really like these Woodsman broadheads. For years I used various makers of two blade broadheads, but they are no comparison to these Woodsman heads for cut on impact, and penetration. I also needed more weight up front, so I opted for the 100 grain steel screw-in adapters and glued them up myself. Achieving concentricity of the broadhead was easy enough. I shoot these from my 52 lb. @ 29" recurve and got really good flight and great penetration. They do come to you with a very dull edge, but I have found that a single cut flat file while placing the broadhead in a vise is the easiest (and maybe the safest) way for me to put a sharp edge on these broadheads. I then use a 200, 300, 400, and then 600 grit diamond hone that I use for sharpening my hunting knives on these heads. Next, I top them off with a leather strap to remove any tiny burr edges that may still be present. Once they will shave the hair from my arm they are then ready for a good leather broadhead sheath. *** The only thing that I don't like about these broadheads is that these heads must have the very tip ends of the broadhead removed by filing a small pyramid on the tip to prevent metal curling. I would like to see this process accomplished at the point of manufacture. *** I almost forgot to mention the customer service. I had one broadhead in the six broadhead packet that had a copper weld bead that did not attach the back of one of the three blades to the ferrule. I called 3Rivers Archery and they replaced it with not one but three new broadheads. --- Thanks 3Rivers! ---

This last archery season was the first year using the heads. I shot my first buck using these with my home made hickory self bow. It went through the buck's front shoulder and dropped at 75 yards. Great penetration and blood trail.

I actually won these as a door prize. I've always been disappointed with the blood trail using 2 blade broadheads but liked the penetration capabilities. I've shot 2 deer and a bear with WW and got total penetration on all three. In fact on the bear the arrow went 1.5" into a tree! The 1st deer went about 15 yds. The 2nd deer was walking when I released. I hit it a little far back and it ran 60 yds and died leaving an awesome trail. The bear was in a tree when I shot it. I have never seen so much blood in my 26 years of hunting! Excellent head!

IT'S NEVER BEEN A SECRET, NOR IS IT NOT A PROVEN FACT! SNIP THE FIRST 1/16 OF AN INCH OFF OF THE TIP WITH A PAIR OF DIKES, AND YOU WILL HAVE THE BEST PENETRATING, BEST FLYING, DURABLE HEAD ON THE MARKET. THIS HEAD IS A SNUFFER ON STEROIDS IF YOU PREP THEM RIGHT. THERE ARE NO SHORTCUTS. TAKE THE TIME AND EFFORT, AND YOU'LL REAP THE REWARDS!

I tried to sharpen these heads on a G5 flat stone but could not get a very good edge. I noticed that some of the blades were not symetrical and the sharpening stone wasn't able to reach the full length of the edge. I think I will switch to snuffers for next season.

Comments about Woodsman Broadheads 125gr Glue-On 6-Pack:
Broadheads have bent after hitting the off shoulder on deer. Very dissapointing performance on african game. Stopped using them after 3 broadheads were damaged. Went back to the Zwickey Delta and NoMercy which performed fawlessly. I will not use Woodsman broadheads again.

Comments about Woodsman Broadheads 125gr Glue-On 6-Pack:
THE REASON I PURCHASED THIS BROADHEAD WAS BECAUSE IT WAS ADVERTISED THAT THE HOLE WOULD NOT CLOSE & IT DID NOT. I SHOT A DOE @ 15 YRDS. GOT GREAT PENATRATION,THE DOE TRIED TO LAY ON THE WOUND IN THE SNOW BUT TO NO AVAIL. THIS BROADHEAD LEFT A GAPING HOLE THAT DIDNT EVEN START TO CLOSE. VERY HAPPY WITH IT. GOOD HUNTING.
Comments about Woodsman Broadheads 125gr Glue-On 6-Pack:
I see a lot of complaints about a curled tip. The Woodsman needs the needle point removed before shooting. After sharpening I drag the arrow down a file with the tip end only touching. A few drags down then rotate to each side. This takes off the needle point. Problem solved. A video of this and how to sharpen a WW is on Tradgang.com

Probably the best broadhead ever made! Easy to sharpen and mostly indestructible.

I was shooting Journeyman broadheads and got some of these to test out for my wife. The first season I shot 3 deer, one big boar hog, and one Aoudad ram. Together I did not have to track 250 yards for all. I passed through every one of those animals. The next season I shot an elk at 25 yards and got a pass through. I shoot a 56 pound Palmer recurve. Wensel Woodsmans hold a good edge and penetrate great. I highly recommend these for a great multiple blade broadhead. It has been three seasons and I guess I am still testing them because I mostly shoot Wensel Woodsman today.
Comments about Woodsman Broadheads 125gr Glue-On 6-Pack:
I was very pleased with the woodsman. It flew straight, sharpened easily and penetrated exceptionally well. The only downside is that any miss seems to result in a bent broadhead. Otherwise, excellent...

These head's fly like dart's and are strong enough for any big game.
Comments about Woodsman Broadheads 125gr Glue-On 6-Pack:
Absolutely the best broadhead I've ever used. I glued them on my cedar shafts with PowerBond, spun them on a broadhead aligner, and have had great arrow flight, pass-thru penetration, and bone-cutting power using a 56# recurve. I sharpened these easily using a file, a 3River's honing stone and the back of my leather boots (thanks are in order for the staffer from 3Rivers who suggested this) and have hair-cutting razor edges. I will never use another brand of broadhead again!
Comments about Woodsman Broadheads 125gr Glue-On 6-Pack:
The only broadhead that I've ever gotten a complete pass-through shot and it was at 30+ yds.
Comments about Woodsman Broadheads 125gr Glue-On 6-Pack:
The Woodsman 3-blade head is one of THE best 3-blade heads on the market today. VERY easy to sharpen, awesome penetration, tunes like a field point, silent in flight & well priced. The only downside, as has been mentoned, is that the tip has a tendency to curl. This is very easy to cure with a file & 30 seconds work (as is actually tells you on the back of the packet!) It needs to be knocked down to a smaller pyramid, is all. After that, it'll go into & through most anything! As with most 3-bladers, it leaves a great exit wound & an easy to follow blood trail, but penetrates far further & much easier than any of the wider heads (Snuffers, for example) All in all, the ideal hunting head. Can't be beat.
Comments about Woodsman Broadheads 125gr Glue-On 6-Pack:
I feel that the Woodman Broadheads are not as tough as advertised because of the braised tip. Any miss automatically meant a bent broadhead. I bought six, and the first season I hunted with them, I bent three. Not pleased.

Comments about Woodsman Broadheads 125gr Glue-On 6-Pack:
I was a die-hard 2-blade shooter until I tried an old Bear greenhead with the bleeder installed. From the first deer I took with that broadhead I was sold on multiple blade broadheads. Then I tried the Woodsman and wow! Complete pass-through on my first deer with them. Great broadheads.
