    Comments about 3Rivers 66" Strung Recurve/Longbow Case:

Not a bad product, however I'm a bit disapointed because my Fred Bear Montana longbow will not fit with an attached Selway quiver. If the zipper were to open the entire bag rather than just a 3rd of it, I could make it work. As long as I could warn a friend of this, I would recammend this product.

    Comments about 3Rivers 66" Strung Recurve/Longbow Case:

Hi, my main use for this case is transport. I wanted this case for the truck, atv, and mainly for walking in and out of my hunting location in the dark. It served this purpose well but it would be nice to have a full length zipper and D-rings on each end of the case. I'll break down my review below. Price: The price is very reasonable for the quality of this case. Durability: I can't fully comment on this because I only had it for 1 hunting season but it seems to be well constructed. I have many products made of denier from hunting gear to diving gear and it's very durable. The higher the count the better but for the use the bow case will receive it should be more then enough. Padding: There could be a little more padding or maybe even a thin sheet a closed cell foam under the existing padding. The pocket could use some padding as well I wouldn't want to see much more padding because this would cause bulk. After I walk into my stand and it becomes legal to take my bow out of the case it can be easily folded and put in my pack out of the way, if it was to bulky this wouldn't be possible. If you plan on using this case when traveling on an atv make sure it's on top of your other gear because the padding wouldn't provide enough protection if other gear is piled on top. If your main use for a case is atv transport get a rigid case instead. Size: I have a Bear Super Kodiak and it will fit in this case both strung and unstrung. The pocket also has plenty of room. The zipper for the bow compartment does not even open to the half-way mark of the case. It should've opened the whole length of the case, then you'd be able to open it all the way. This would make it easier to put your bow in the case with out chafing it on the zipper. The larger your brace height the more of a problem this would be. Waterproof: I can't comment on this because the only water my case has seen was going through some water holes on the atv. I didn't feel very confident in the case's ability to handle water so I put it in a over sized garbage bag and tied it shut. Construction, Quality, and : The appearance was better then I expected. The quality is high, but it could use a little more padding. The construction is generally good except for the zipper which I described my concerns above and the D-rings. The D-rings are big and strong enough to handle the load but the placement should be on both ends of the case. The way it is now there is 1 on the end and 1 about halfway up the case. If they were on both ends it would be easier to carry. You could add a strap and put the strap over your head and under your 1 arm. This way it wouldn't flop around so much and you'd have both hands free. There should also be a shoulder strap added to connect to the D-rings. Bottom Line: This is the 1st time I bought something with the 3-Rivers name on it and I was generally pleased. Now for the case itself, If you want a case that allows you to carry your bow already strung, provide's moderate protection, can be folded up to be put in a pack, light weight (compared to the rigid case I'm use to), and priced fairly I'd take a strong look at this case. If you need a case that can take major abuse and still protect your bow (bumping trees on the atv, piling heavier gear on top of it, heavy rains) I would not recommend this case. Whether or not this case is for you will depend on your intended usage. You'll have to decide for yourself. I hope my long winded review helps and even though there could be improvements made to this case I would recommend it to a friend.

    Comments about 3Rivers 66" Strung Recurve/Longbow Case:

I like this case. It holds a strung or unstrung re-curve. It is long enough that you don't have to shoe-horn your bow into it. It is durable, practical and looks good too. And it is American-made, which is something I look for these days when most of our goods are cheap junk from overseas. I like the nice big side pocket which allows me to put in a quiver full of arrows, a bowsquare, armguard and glove; like the main bow compartment, the side pocket is big enough so you don't have to shoe-horn your stuff into it.The only suggestions I have, which would make this a perfect 5-star product, would be to siffen the outer pocket and line it with fleece in the same way as the main bow compartment. It would also be nice to have some extra compartments for little stuff but that might make the case too busy. All in all though, I am very happy with this American-made bow case. Yet another reason why 3Rivers gets my business.

I finally have a case that holds all my bow hunting, and shooting equipment. The side pocket is big enough for my arrows, quiver, glove, stringer and broadhead box. Everything is well protected with the generous amount of padding. I couldn't be happier with this product. I have not had it in the rain yet, not sure about the waterproofing.
