these are not PDP points, as I am used to getting from 3 Rivers. the taper hole is not as long. so my Tru-center was set for PDP points, and the shafts bottomed out. no problem, I chopped a quarter inch off the taper and reset the tool. they are marked with diameter and weight, and have rounded shoulders, a very nice point

Since I craft my own arrow shaftings, I only use one commercial component....a field point. I need a point that is consistent in weight and size. When I received these points, I measured them in size and weight. I couldn't believe how exact the tolerances were! I would easily recommend them to anyone who makes their own arrows - super product!

This product is great for the traditional archer that makes his/her own arrows. Craft your arrow shafts with the proper spine, fletch, add or craft nock, seal paint and decorate, then add these target points with glue that can be heated up for removal later to install preferred hunting tips.

These points were easy to apply and they are certainly good enough. The only negative thing I have noticed is that some of the points could be machined a little bit more accurately. In other words, when they were applied to the shaft I noticed when I gave them a spin a couple of them were a little off center. I double and triple checked to see if it was in my tapering, or maybe the shaft wasn't straight but it really was the taper in the female end of the field point was a little off center. Hopefully that will improve because otherwise they are really good.

The field tips penetrate the target extremely well. I have missed the target and hit the 2" x 4" tripod legs before and the tips have penetrated the wood up to half the length of the tip with a 32 lb. bow at 20 yards.

These steel points are everything they're suppose to be. Everyone I received weighed exactly the weight stamped on them according to the 3Rivers grain scale. I use these points for target shooting but they may be used in 3D target competition also. The color, however leaves something to be desired. Black is kind of hard to spot in the grass if one of the points should happen to pull loose from the arrow shaft and fall near the intended target. It's not a common occurrence but it does happen.

I have ordered two batches of field points. The 100 grain tips were flawless. The 125 grain tips were very good except they were slightly greasy and left some black smudge marks on my arrow shafts that I had to clean off with soap and water. Not a big problem though.

I ordered a few different packs. The packs with just on weight fieldpoint were spot on and everything was good. The variety pack was not complete though. I got 3 190grn, 3 125grn, 2 145grn, 2 160grn and a 100grn screw in point!? Not sure about that. Have had great service in the past though!

I've been using field points from 3Rivers for years, usually buying in bulk. Can't beat the price and convenience. But this last batch of 100 seems to take a shorter or otherwise different point taper. Seriously Inconvenient. The weights match up well. I would love to see heavier 5/16" points and maybe a point shape that does less damage to a 3-D target. Maybe a bullet shape?

So far I haven't had any problems. The double taper will stick to the edges making a poor shot look ok. The only thing that happens to them is a flattened tip after hitting a rock. Just file the point and your back in business.

Nothing bad to say about these things! They're incredibly easy to install with Ferr-L-Tite glue, they last forever, pierce well into targets and 3D targets. I've had instanced where I've missed slightly and hit the metal stand of the target, some metal stands, this point goes right through to the other side... Other (harder) stands, it simply flattens the point of the tip, but this still doesn't affect arrow flight! (It does affect arrow penetration a bit, but that's to be expected... I'm too cheap to replace the point just because it's slightly flatter)

I use fer-l- cement for fishing rod tips and heat the point up just a bit and twist them on. I have not had one come off yet, and I have shot them about 100 times, they even stay on in deer targets. GREAT BUY

Steel Field Points from 3Rivers Archery are way cool. They are anodized with a black enamel that protects them from corrosion and just look spooky-mean. They fit/glue perfectly and consistently onto a tapered wooden shaft--the 3Rivers Hunter Arrows or a handcrafted cedar shaft. This was my first forey into arrow-building, and these glued on perfectly to my new Hunters with the Bohning glue stick. I like how the diameter and weight are inscribed on the point (i.e., 11/32 145). After a few target practice misses onto gravel, some of the anodizing is wearing off, but I am told that painting them with cheap clear nail polish will prevent corrosion. Oh yeah, the price is right.

Set up for target practice---finding the right weight for the right wood arrow. I like the grain weight stamped on the field point. I wish they had a rough finish on the inside to help the glue stick better then I would not have to rough them up with sand paper.

These field points actually fit the shaft. Most of the 125 grain 11/32" field points I've tried only go on part way. These cover the entire taper! I weighed the dozen and found five were exactly 125 grains; seven were 123 grains. Odd, but of no practical importance.
