Comments about Hunter Recurve Bows Martin Archery:

I have owned many bow. My friend sold me this Martin Hunter so he could buy another brand. It is 50 pounds , 62 inch, 28 draw. It is the smoothest and most accurate bow I own. I can see why in the older Black Widow catalogs this was the gateway reccomended bow to owning a custom BW bow ...I am glad that Martin has continued to keep this historic bow in production, it is an excellent choice for beginner and expert. I shoot alumionum and cedar arrows out of it at every chance I can and hope that when I get a Maine moose permit, its the bow that puts my moose down.

Comments about Hunter Recurve Bows Martin Archery:

The quality of this bow is impressive. The craftsmanship on this bow is comparable to much more expensive bows.

I have tried a number of different bows--recurves and longbows--from friends and others at our Archery Club. None of them really felt perfect in my hands.

On a recommendation from a fellow archer who's opinion I highly respect, I went with the Martin Hunter without trying one.

It felt perfect in my hands. Its draw is very smooth. It is a very fast bow for a recurve. I have tried a substantial amount of different arrows and they all group very nicely.

I highly recommend this bow to anyone who is looking for a bow at a reasonable price.

In addition, the service from 3Rivers is incredible. Everyone I have spoken with has been extremely friendly, extremely informative and very helpful.

Love the bow and look forward to upcoming 3D competitions and field / hunter rounds. Will be my go to hunting bow this season. No stack with my 30" draw. Blazing fast for a trad bow, flat shooting, easy to use recurve. A real beauty that garners much praise in the looks department.

Back in the game after almost 20 years. Decided to go big. 55# LH at 29" draw, so more like 58#. Wow. Blows away everything I've shot before. Plus AWESOME 3R service. Called 3 times with questions, always super helpful. The best.

Comments about Hunter Recurve Bows Martin Archery:

I can't understand how anyone who has shot this bow can mark it less than perfect! I have used this bow for competition, hunting, and back yard targets. It is extremely smooth and powerful. It certainly shoots better than I do. The finish is outstanding and it is tough. I live and elk hunt in Colorado and I shoot nearly every day during many types of weather conditions. This bow shoots the same regardless of the circumstances. I have yet to find any aspect of this bow that is less than amazing.

Comments about Hunter Recurve Bows Martin Archery:

I love this bow, I find myself often neglecting my other bows for My Martin Hunter! I use it on everything morning dove, squirrel, rabbit, deer, carp, ground hogs, even bull frogs!! It has withstood it all. Even a car crash on my way to the deer stand.. If the Army would let me, it would go to Iraq with me on my 07-08 deployment! I STRONGLY encourage this bow to ANY skill level shooter!

Comments about Hunter Recurve Bows Martin Archery:

Shot Winter indoor league with 50# 56" recurve at 29-1/2" draw, bare bow. Got the Martin Hunter at 64#, 62" and 29-1/2" draw and average improved from 180/300 to 240/300 with a glove. Last Fall--One shot--One Whitetail buck. Lighter than a take-down and faster than a longbow. Practice, until it shoots where you look. It does its part, if I do mine.

Comments about Hunter Recurve Bows Martin Archery:

I've own many recurves and longbows but this is the bow that I will love forever, smooth but powerful, fast but accurate even with heavy arrows my 45 lbs hunter can cast 550 grains with high speed and flatter trajectory compare to other bows with same poundage and arrow weight, after adjusting the nocking point and braced hight I find this bow is very forgiving with no shock and no vibration at all. Thanks 3R Archery and Martin Archery for this great product.

Comments about Hunter Recurve Bows Martin Archery:

This is by far the most QUIET bow I have ever used, I use this bow on the ground and in the air, for hog's, deer, squirrel, fish and targets. You will not find a better Bow for this price. As far as stealth, I hate to admit a doe let me shoot twice w/o knowing I was in the world, third time was a charm.
