Comments about Fred Bear Supermag Recurve Bow:

I was searching for a traditional bow and when I first picked this up, I couldn't believe how light it was and the fact that the grip was real comfortable, then I shot it. Thats all it took. I found the bow I wanted. It's fast, no hand shock and best of all it's compact, so it's easy to transport and easy to manuver, especially in tree stands and blinds.

Comments about Fred Bear Supermag Recurve Bow:

I have a short draw length. Have owned this bow for two years now, with a 60lb draw weight. No warping or defects.♦ It shoots very accurate. With the right maintenance you should not have any problems with this bow. Make sure it is unstrung after every use and be sure to replace the bow string every year. I could see where someone with a long draw length could break this bow easily, this bow is the shortest recurve I have owned to date. Good for still hunting in thick cover.

Comments about Fred Bear Supermag Recurve Bow:

After adjusting the brace height and putting string slincers on the bow to quiet it down it handles very well for a short bow. This a good bow for short draw archers.

Comments about Fred Bear Supermag Recurve Bow:

This bow is amazing!!! I bought it last year and it has been shooting very well up until now. One bad thing about this bow is that it has warped twice on me now. The first time it stayed warped for a couple of days and then went back to its original shape. But now it has warped again and it doesn't look like it's going to be fixed. But that is the only problem I can think of.

Comments about Fred Bear Supermag Recurve Bow:

This little bow is surprisingly powerful. This is the most comfortable shooting bow I have yet to shoot. I feel that this bow is not well suited for those who have a longer draw as this is only a 48" bow, but at my 26.5" draw, it is absoloutely perfect. I even knocked over a bag target that weighed around 40 pounds (55# draw), breaking 4 of my arrows in the process.

Comments about Fred Bear Supermag Recurve Bow:

After first bow, now cracked second too. I think this is problem in construction - 'poor quality used materials'. Finaly people from Bear Archery don't take any ansver on my question. Very bad for name like 'Fred Bear'!

Comments about Fred Bear Supermag Recurve Bow:

At first the small size was a bit of a shock, being a longbow-man. The bow resembles a horse bow. I'm a gap shooter and found no problems with this fantastic little recurve. It brings you to the steppes.

Service & Delivery comments:

Three Rivers as always provides excellent rapid service. Many Thanks

An ok bow but--

Comments about Fred Bear Supermag Recurve Bow:

I have had two of them, and both ended the same way. Broken just above the handle. The first was covered by the warranty, which covered the bow completely, the second broke just after the warranty ran out. The bow handled well, and was very accurate, but all and all it is too short for a 28 inch draw length. A good look at the picture of the bow tells all.

I use this bow in an archery league and for hunting, and I love it. I might buy another bow later on (most likely another from bear), but never get rid of this bow.

Comments about Fred Bear Supermag Recurve Bow:

I bought this bow last June and have fallen in love with it. After adding a B-50 string and shortening the brace height it is a really great shooting bow. Because it's so short it's really manuverable in a treestand, blind or heavy timber. I think I'll probably get a longer bow later in life, but I'll never sell this beauty.
