I can't imagine a better bow for the money. It's short lengtgh handles well in a tree stand. It seem incredibly fast, even with heavy arrows. The handle forces a consistent grip and it shoots where you point it. The only complaint would be the string supplied. Order a 3-Rivers Fast Flight Plus string with the bow. It will save you time and frustration.

3Rivers comes through everytime with their service. My favorite archery store hands down.
Comments about Savannah Longbow Martin Archery:
This is my first longbow. I had experience with recurves from my high school days and just this year put down my compound bow for the challenge of tradional archery hunting. I looked at several longbows and none felt as comfortable in the hand as this one. My 50# version with fast flight string really zips the arrows. It is easy to draw and shoot, is well made, and beautiful to look at. I can't wait to harvest my first whitetail with it.
3Rivers had the best price, and as usual, the quick delivery and service is unbeatable.

I grew up using longbows and recurves, but fell out of archery for a while. About 4 years ago I jumped back into the sport for hunting and bought a "cable bow." After a few years, I felt that I needed to get back to my roots. The Savannah was exactly what I was looking for. It has enough power to make a humane kill and it is graceful with every draw. Thanks 3R.
I was very impressed with the speed and service. 3Rivers knows what they're doing!
Comments about Savannah Longbow Martin Archery:
I have had a Martin Savannah for a year now and have enjoyed shooting this bow every time out. It seems to be fairly quiet and smooth release. I have a 65# and am shooting a fairly heavy arrow so the speed is not very high but it packs quite a punch when it hits a target. I have yet to go hunt with this bow but am looking forward to a great season with it.

This is a great bow, I have shot recurve bows for the last few years but after shooting this bow I cant go back to them. This bow turned me into a long bow guy. It is the smoothest traditional bow I have ever had my hands on.

Comments about Savannah Longbow Martin Archery:
Absolutely amazing bow. I've shot recurves for many years and have always been curious about longbows. About six months ago I stopped at an instinctive shoot that had a lot of vendors and tried out a few longbows. I left with a bad taste in my mouth. They felt slow and awkward compared to my recurve (50# Browning Nomad Stalker). I decided to stick with my recurve. For some reason though, I kept wanting to own a longbow. I finally took the plunge and just bought the Savannah after reading many reviews here and elsewhere. I haven't picked up my recurve since. It's incredibly fast and is SMOOTHER than my recurve - something I didn't expect. I can't stop shooting it. It's incredibly fun - and my group is getting tighter by the day. One other thing - the bow is beautiful right down to the hand painted insignia. Couldn't be happier.

SWEEEEEET !!!!! I got this Bow as a Gift from my wife and Kids for Fathers Day. Always wanted one and now all my HIGH DOLLAR custom made Recurve Bows have started to collect dust. This Bow is an absolute dream to shoot, no stack, no hand shock and it hits where you look, so you had best be lookin at something you want to shoot. I can't wait for October. So far I've taken two Rat's @ 15 and 17 yards. Thank you Martin for such a fine product.

Excellent bow. I have an identical bow which I enjoy shooting, unfortunately it went to college with my son. I purchased this bow for a friend. The 62" length allows for a great deal of flexibility under both ground and treestand hunting.

Comments about Savannah Longbow Martin Archery:
I purchased the Savannah when my Martin Hunter was out for service - 55lbs same as the Hunter - they shoot and bare shaft the same arrows - I purchased this for a back-up bow and now it is my main bow used for hunting and target (I can't go back to a recurve) - The Savannah is an impressive piece of equipment, no hand shock, smooth drawing (I draw 28") - this bow changed me into a "longbow guy."

Comments about Savannah Longbow Martin Archery:
This the first Longbow I have purchased. I have always shot a compound. Shooting this Longbow has made archery fun again! I truly enjoy the "simple" approach to Bowhunting. The Savannah is nothing but a joy to shoot. Smooth, quiet, and powerful.
I look forward to shooting again...Just like being a kid again!

Comments about Savannah Longbow Martin Archery:
The Martin Savannah is one of the best bows that I have owned. I shot a compond bow for years and a friend talked me into going back to traditional archery. I bought a Martin Stick longbow and it is a very good bow. I bought the Martin Savannah and it is a large step above the stick. I shoot this bow along side my friends Martin Bamboo Viper and it is a little faster than his. Both bows are 55# at 28". Get one, if you are a traditional archer it will be love at first sight! Rick

I have owned my Savannah for two years now, and I am thoroughly impressed. It was my first traditional bow, and I has got me hooked into trad. archery. It draws and shoots extremely well. I would recommend this bow to anyone who loves archery.

I shoot 3-d with the bow. The bow shoots great, very easy to tune to what I shoot.Very smooth and no hand shock. The wood is a real eye catcher.
The delivery was great. Got the bow three days before they said I would get it. Can't get much better than that. The service has always been good. Thats why I will always buy from 3Rivers Archery.

Comments about Savannah Longbow Martin Archery:
For the money this is a beautiful bow. Smooth, shoots where you point it and is as fast as my recurves at the same draw weight. Only draw back I found so far is the small limb nocks. You have to be very careful when stringing the bow. I use a Selway stringer for both my recurves and this bow. This is my first longbow and I'm very impressed with the speed, shootability and craftsmanship that this bow exhibits. Can't wait to take a deer with it. I've shot custom longbows and the Savannah is right there with them for half the price.

Comments about Savannah Longbow Martin Archery:
Not only is the Savannah a beautiful bow that gets envious looks on the range, it evens sounds great when loosing! Its a longbow that behaves like a recurve, dead on shooter that is very fast.
