Ever needed an easy to use wood glue that was waterproof? Titebond III is the answer! It's the first waterproof wood glue we've ever offered that wasn't a two-part epoxy. Ideal for hickory backing, sinew, and even rawhide backing your bows. We've even heard of canoe paddles being glued up with Titebond III! How's that for waterproof? Titebond III has no health issues, doesn't require the use of gloves and cleans up with water. It's significantly less expensive than polyurethane glues and offers similar coverage rates. Sound's like the perfect wood glue doesn't it? We think so too, try some today.

Comments about Titebond III Waterproof Bow Backing Glue:

I bought Titebond III as an experiment in making tri-lam reflex-deflex longbows. Its first use was to fix a delamination issue on a bow I made using Bowgrip 100. (Probably due to over-compression in clamping - word to the novice bow-builder: Don't overclamp). Titebond flowed very nicely into the space, filled it and held it together solidly. The delamination was halted in place and the bow has held together ever since then. Air-drying is the only issue in that if you use cellophane to wrap the bows to clamp, Titebond won't dry. It's best to use a lot of small clamps in strategic places rather than wrap. On the up-side, it air dries very well, eliminating the need for a heat-box.The fact you don't have to measure anything and have the same window of time to get your project in the clamps is a huge bonus. It seals up tight without refrigeration, goes where it's supposed to and the waste is practically nonexistent.

Comments about Titebond III Waterproof Bow Backing Glue:

I purchaced this glue to repair a cracked stave. When I went to set the tiller to full draw the tiller rope broke. but the repair did not come apart nor did the glued area seperate in any way. I would defenately recomend this product to every one who works with wood be it Carvings or Bows.

    Service & Delivery comments:

This product helped save my 35# Long Bow Stave that had cracked. I broke the tiller rope brining it to full draw, but the repair stood strong and was not effected nor did it come appart.

Comments about Titebond III Waterproof Bow Backing Glue:

I used this on my first bow ever and it worked flawlessly. I did let it set up for 5 days, but it still shoots and is very easy to apply. Best part is no mixing and plenty in a bottle for several bows. Also works great for any other wood projects. Just a great all around glue to have on hand.

Comments about Titebond III Waterproof Bow Backing Glue:

This is the best glue to use for all wood bows. Much cheaper and easier to use than URAC. I've used it to make several reflex -deflex bamboo/Ipe bows and several reflex deflex hickory backed Ipe bows. The glue is strong and can function as a working joint on all of these bows, which are still shooting. The only thing is, you have to let it set for AT LEAST 48 hours, better 72 or 96, before you let it out of your bow form. Still its a great water based yet waterproof glue that doesn't have an fumes.
