No complaints on the product as far as quality and ease of installation are concerned.

I was disappointed though by the fact that the plate did not completely cover the shelf of the longbow that it was installed on.

Having experimented pretty much anything that can be stuck onto an arrow shelf I have come to the conclusion that calf hair is my personal favourite. Smooth, slick and silent these are big enough to cut into two pieces for the average longbow shelf for those who don't like to fold over and prefer to leave a small 'gap' for the fletching..

The self adhesive back will not stay in place. The fletching seems to peel it off. Reglued it with contact cement and all is fine. Other than that, it has a nice feel to it.

I have this product on two of my long bows and have had no problems with them. I used them as the rest and side plate together. Once placed onto the bow it will stay in any weather or shooting conditions.

I have been making bows for over ten years and I don't recall ever using any other type of material for my shelfs and strike plates. The hair may wear off eventually in one spot, but the leather never will. I have seen my bows many years and thousands of shots later and they still have the original rest on them. They are also the thinnest window material out there, which means I don't have cut my sight windows any closer to center to account for the build up of the leather. And don't worry about the self sticking back, treat the surface with an alcohol wipe down, and that rest will never come off. Fantastic product, I hope their around forever.
