This bow sock is an excellent product. They are very durable and extremely light. The pin oak camo looks really good. In fact, don't lay your bow down in the woods, or you might not find it again. They do not pick up burrs and other wild seeds as bad as other materials when walking through brush. And, they do a very good job of protecting your bow from surface scratches. If you have a flashy bow, or want to add some extra protection to the finish of your bow, this is a great product to serve that purpose.

I bought this product for my 3 piece recurve. It fit over the limbs very well, however, I couldn't get the limbs back on afterwards. The socks added just enough material and made it too tight a fit. But the socks work very well on my one piece's.

I had a problem fitting the product to my recurve bow. It is a take down recurve with limb vibration dampeners after triming to length I found the stiching had to be secured or it would come loose. I have yet to test this product in a wet, freezing or snowy conditions

These are an easy way to camo your bow and it also protects against scracthing. The socks strech to a tight fit on my Super Kodiak. I can't notice any difference in speed with them on but I didn't run the arrows through a coronagraph to prove it.
I noticed a very slight shine as you do with any spandex, I dulled the shine and now their perfect.
I'll be buying more in different camo patterns and I'd recommend these to a friend.

I have a 60" Recurve and the socks came in one size fits all. If you're worried about length, there's lots of length to spare. I may have to do some customizing to get it to my liking, but I'm happy so far.

these work great to protect a bow in a heavy brush situation with lots of briars, like where I hunt hogs.The only downside to them would be if they get wet, don't stick your bow on the rack and let them dry- remove them...these retain moisture up against your bow -it could potentially cause a problem with your limbs so remove, dry, and put them back on.. common sense really, but other than that, works great.

This was exactly what I was looking for. My bow has bright yellow limbs. I was looking a way to camo it and ran across these bow sock while doing my weekly search on 3Rivers. I "inherited" a Bear Kodiak Magnum recurve that had been in stored in a garage for about 40 years and wanted to recondition it. The process went very well, but the cosmetics of the bow (although restored well) were not to my liking. So I ordered the bow socks for that reason only and loved the look when I put them on. When I shot the first arrow with the socks on, to my incredibly pleasant surprise, the socks made the bow practically silent! Virtually ALL of the "string slap" was muffled and the recurve now shoots with only a whisper!

Also, there appears to be absolutely no discernible difference in arrow speed. I couldn't be more pleased with the product.

I got the snake version of the bow socks and couldn't be more pleased. They fit great and give a really good look to my bow while offering the needed camo for hunting. Good looking sock that fits tightly and offers a degree of protection from scuffs and smaller scratches. Interestingly, it has a distinct silencing effect on one of my recurves without affecting the speed (ok, the weight is next to nothing anyway). As I said, they seem to be too tight of a fit for camo, but thats my opinon, but I have over 6 sets of limbs for my TAKE DOWN Bows and they work great to protect these limbs from rubbing each other and on the handle when they're stored in a case.

These covers won't help your bow performance, but they probably won't hurt it. They are fun to look at and may protect your expensive limbs from scratches and dings. They do hide attractive limbs at target shoots, etc. Great for easy to remove camo and general conversational topic.

I purchased the Tamarack Bow Sock for my Black Widow recurve after an unfortunate accident with the truck door and my limb. Thinking the sock would be lined with some sort of thin neoprene as "armor" to prevent dents and knicks in the wood, I recieved a thin almost sheer spandex material. This item is made in Alaska, and I'm not sure what kind of terrain they have, but I hunt in the south Texas brush, and it is NOT forgiving to the finish of a bow. As I said, if it was lined with a thin neoprene, it would both protect the bow, and maybe act as sort of dampener.

I wasn't sure how I would feel about these at first, but I came to love them quickly. They eliminate any limb glare and are really tough in the thickets. I was on a recent eye level stalk with a Pennsylvania Buck that took me straight through some ugly brush and they were less tore up than I was. For those who would care about the end results of the stalk, well lets just say the wind doesn't always work in our favor. To all, straight shooting.

I use this product for hunting to block glare from the sun and to blend into the woods, and they work perfect!! Not to mention they look sweet!! I bought the tiger and pine oak pattern. and my next pare is the tamarak. Great product!!

Great idea, it just didn't work out for me. They were way too long for my 58" longbow, they didn't fit my limb tips tightly at all. I did really like the camo pattern, but when I shot the bow with them on it was noisy, very noisy.

I got the snake skin covers and from opening the package was disappointed. They have a pinkish hue to them, nothing like what was expected. They slide down my limbs, and really made the bow look cheap. - Perhaps the other patters are better but stay away from the snake skin pattern.

Socks protect limbs, the bow doesn't "shine" anymore and camouflage is effective. I use the snake camo, both on my recurve and on my flatbow. When the bow is stored in the house, I washed the socks before hunt for removing odors. It is regrettable that the snow camo is no longer available, but I have this model too ;). I have one of these on my son's bows and it doesn't snag brush and protects the finish from light abuse. Had to get one for mine as well. Also takes the shine off the bow without resorting to the rattle can technique.

I was looking to both protect my new bow and to cut any potential glare with these camo socks as I intend to hunt with the bow in areas of thick cover. They seem to deliver. For the most part, hunting is the only reason I can see getting these for your bow. They are easy to put on and stay put rather well (they bunch up or slide just a little). They also seem to dampen limb vibration a little which is always a nice benefit. I am not sure if they will work well with a bow mounted quick quiver or not. Also, the manufacterer has sewn on an annoying tag on the outside surface of the sock ... just begging to be cut off ... and if that isn't done carefully, you could weaken the stitching and have the whole sock unravel. It is a minor inconvenience and not that big of a deal, but for the sake of full disclosure I figured I'd mention it.

I bought the camo socks to mask the glare on my Howatt recurve. I plan to hunt with it this year and the idea of putting tape on this beautiful bow did not appeal to me. The sock can be removed during the off-season with no marring of the finish and it is great for the month of hunting. The bow socks were easy to slip on the limbs of my longbow and fit like a glove. I hunt with a Great Northern Longbow quiver and found it's best to slide the socks up to the rubber tension straps that secure the quiver to the bow instead of mounting the quiver on top of the socks. This leaves some excess that slightly bunches up along the length of the limbs but not enough to cause any problems. I originally took the quiver off, slid the socks on up to the handle, then reattached the quiver wrapping the rubber tension straps over the socks. Because of the bow sock's slick material the straps didn't grip the limbs very well which enabled the quiver to move on the limbs.I really like the Pin-Oak camo pattern socks and found they work great for not only concealment but protection against scratches to your bow limbs. I would definately recommend them especially for turkey hunting.

Do a great job of hiding the unnatural gloss of the limbs, the only problem I found is that they don't grip to the bow well, my quiver tends to separate itself if put on over top of the socks...just a minor set back though, good product in general.

I have used both the longbow and recurve socks. Each one was very easy to install. The camo pattern is what I wanted to see and the product is well constructed. Each one has been taken off and put on my bows a couple of times and show no signs of wear or tear. The only thing I would like to see is a way to keep the sock from sliding up above my rug arrow rest area. It's not a big problem and I am completely satisfied with the product.

Great product. Bought the Recurve-Pin Oak and really like the pattern. These fit perfect and stay in place much better than I expected. Years ago I had the old style light weight cotton covers and while they did the camo job, they wern't anywhere as nice as these new style limb covers. I'll be buying more for a few of my other bows.
