I bought several for my collection of recurves. They add accuracy and consistancy to the arrow flight. They are user friendly in that if you accidently put it on incorrect, you can peel it off and reapply it with the spare adhesive pad that comes with the package. And they just plain look good!

I'm thankful Bear Archery still makes this QUIET arrow rest. I've been hunting with other archers and have seen deer spook when my companion drew his arrow for a shot. Though I didn't hear the arrow drag across the rest, the deer did. It hasn't happened with this rest but I'll know more next season.

A friend asked me to fix his vintage Bear Compound (broken rest). The old rest looked just like the Bear Weather Rest in your catalog. It worked perfectly and put an old bow ( with training wheels ) back in service. I'll work on getting him over to the traditional side later.

A quick and easy elevated rest that provides good arrow flight if you prefer or would like to use vanes. I set up a foul weather rig using the Bear Weatherest on a Quinn Stallion recurve. Easy to tune and holds solid to the riser. A minor but very worthwhile investment.

I feel that this is the best all around arrow rest available for both youth, beginning and advanced archers. My very first bow was a Bear Grizzly which I still have and is almost 50 yrs old. This had the same bear arrow rest on it when I bought it, although it has become brittle and broken off. At this time, I am refurbishing two old bows and setting up 2 new youth bows for my grandchildren. They will all have the Bear arrowrest on them when I get done. I have tried the Hoyt arrow rest, the whiskers style may be all right for hunting, (I wouldn't use one) but I still want the Bear arrow rest. Years ago when I shot indoor archery, the Bear arrowrest is what we used and I shot consistent scores in the 275-285 ranges with it. Please don't drop it or let them quit making them. I install the wether rest right before deer season and shoot it through the season. Being a competitive 3-d shooter, I cannot use it in tournaments. It is an easy transition to the rest when hunting seasson arrives.

I have used this product since the late 70's or early 80's off and on on many of the recurve bows I have owned and own now. I use these for two reasons one some bows are not tillered for three finger under shooting and I find getting the arow up off the bench helps. The second reason I use these, honestly is for shooting vanes at times. I live in Oregon and hunt the coast, where the rest of the state can be hotter then anyone would care to hunt in and at the coast it will be raining 1 plus inches per day. With limited time to hunt and tired of trying to keep turkey dry, I some time's shoot vanes. The Bear weatherest is durable, yet soft enough it does not effect arrow flight and seem's to last longer and be more dependable them other simular rests on the market.

Some of our cheap fiberglass bows at our Boy Scout / Cub Scout Camp have poor rests. Not wanting to discard the otherwise usable bows, I trimmed the Bear Weatherests to fit. Nothing last forever, but these rests will hopefully allow us to get another year or two out of our bows in a cost effective manner; while providing a decent experience for our kids.

After trying several designs of elevated rests I tried the old Weatherest like I'd used back in the 1970s. It works as well today as it did back then! Simple, reliable, and functional. While most of my bows are shot off the shelf, I have a couple designed for an elevated rest, and the Weatherest is the best design I've tried!

If you have ever lost an animal because of poor arrow flight caused by wet fletching consider this. After an unpleasant experience Moose hunting I put Weather rests on my recurves, then I put together some cedar arrows with vanes instead of feathers. I have best flight with cedars that spine 10# more than I use with feathers. Good flight, all weather, quiet.
