Best Uses:

Describe Yourself:

Bottom Line:

Comments about Classic Nocks:

I've been shooting traditional since 1980. These nocks are my favorite. You can put the arrow on your string by spinning the nock between your thumb and forefinger to feel the index tab and put them on the string properly, very fast and easy. This allows you to do this this while concentrating on your target. They stay on the string well without clamping too tight.
I have had many nocks break, but not one of these.
These are the only nock I will use.

Comments about Classic Nocks:

I practice medieval/traditional target archery, and these nocks are perfect. They're incredibly easy to attached to tapered wooden shafts with some super glue (or nock glue), they hold tight, stay on for shot after shot, and are overall perfect! They hold onto the string tight and release perfectly every time. The only con I can think of is if you "robin hood" your arrow, these nocks WILL shatter, but this is so rare, for me at least.

Comments about Classic Nocks:

These nocks work superbly in light of the large number of arrows I shoot in a day. Quality/craftsmanship is high with no breakage other than impact from another arrow or sometimes "popping" off the shaft from striking a particularly hard surface. I wish there were other colors in 1/4 inch nocks other than the white for my grandson.

Comments about Classic Nocks:

I love these nocks. Only downfall is the index is a tad large for my bitzenberger jig, not sure of other model jigs. It leaves a little notch in the index tab of the nock when you turn the jig to fletch the rest of the feathers. A little modification to the jig and we'll be good.

Classic Nocks Anyone?
By Huntn' for HornsVerified Purchaser from Cleveland, OK on 10/1/2008
Pros:
Accurate, Lightweight
Cons:
Soft Plastic
Best Uses:
Hunting, Target Practice
Describe Yourself:
Competitive Archer
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Classic Nocks:

These Classic nocks are good. I purchased 100 of them. While building my last dozen I used an old string to hang them on after staining and quick glazing them. Guess I let them hang too long. The nocks swelled a bit where the string was sat for a day and I've been trying to squeeze them back together to hold on my hunting recurve string now. Suggestion: Don't hang them on too big of a string to dry after staining and glazing shafts, at least with these nocks. Otherwise they have performed as expected.

lightly 'knocking' classic nocks
By attenurbVerified Purchaser from Laguna Beach, California on 9/26/2008
Best Uses:
Target Practice
Describe Yourself:
Recreational Archer
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Comments about Classic Nocks:

I liked the price, but they seem too small overall, even though they are for kids 1/4" and 5/16th arrows, the slot is also small. I don't normally make arrows, but decided to try - for the bows I make for little kids age 5 - up to 12 yrs old, and was a little disappointed when they arrived. I am sure they will work ok, but expected something else. The strings would have to be smaller to fit.

It could just be my string but these nocks fit to loose, Equivilant to dry firing the bow. Service and delivery was excellant.

3Rivers Archery Response: Classic nocks work best with 15 strand strings and above. Smaller diameter serving can also decrease the size of a string and hinder nock-to-string connection.

Comments about Classic Nocks:

These nocks are well made, they fit better than the Nirk Nocks. I make my own wood arrows from fletching, staining, finishing, to nocks. They go on very straight.

This style of nock comes off the string easier than I would like. It came off the string when I came to full draw. I want to be concentrating on the target not griping the nock to keep it on the string.

With other makes of nocks, if you have a dozen nocks, you may get a dozen different fits to the string. With these nocks they are always consistent. The only thing I like to see is a bigger range of colors.

Consistent nocks
By GaryVerified Purchaser from Corvallis, Oregon on 12/21/2007
Pros:
Durable, Well Crafted
Best Uses:
Hunting
Describe Yourself:
Competitive Archer
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Classic Nocks:

When I am hunting I rely on the nock so that the arrow does not fall off the string. This is important when pheasant hunting because you are walking quite a distance with the arrow on the string. When I am just target practicing that is not as important. Consistent release force gives better groups. I also like the index tab so that I don't have to take my eyes off the game to put the arrow on the string in the correct orientation. However, when I am loading an arrow close to game I must force the string against my body so that it deadens the 'snap' sound so that I do not alert the game.

Comments about Classic Nocks:

The Bohning Classic Nocks, were my choice, for Flu-Flu arrows I'm putting together, for a Pheasant hunt,at Sioto Club, at Roundhead, Ohio. The nocks have a clean transition, and the indexer is an excellenet feature of the nock. They seat well on the 11/32 Port Orford cedar shaft easily follows the nock taper. Bohning designed these nocks with a slight pinch to the bow string serving line, overall I rate these nocks an excellent choice for your flights.

Comments about Classic Nocks:

These nocks are great for what I used them for. I am starting to build my own arrows, and have used nocks that pinch the string. They were so tight that they added extra noise to my bow. These are snug enough to stay on the string but are able to be released with out any extra noise.
