Pros:

Cons:
Not finished well
Best Uses:

Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Comments about Nirk Arrow Nocks:

I love the "old school" look of these nocks as well as the "not too tight" grip on the string, however, they look as if they've been dumped out of worn out molds and shipped. Lots of sharp edges and molding marks that needed a little trimming with a pocket knife before use.

Comments about Nirk Arrow Nocks:

The Nirk Nock is the only nock I use on my arrows. I use them in the SCA for target archery. My speed rounds improved almost immediately the first time I used them. My average is 9 arrow in 30 seconds but I have been able to get off 11.They can break sometimes but that's only because I keep shooting them. It's Nirk or nothing for me.

Use these nocks on my matched set of competition arrows for FITA indoors.
Absolutely perfect fit on my black widow strings.

Only thing that stops me giving them a five is that I cant seem to always get them to sit straight on the tapered shafts... whether this is the tapering or the nocks I do not know. But the best string fit I have experienced, and very consistent fit too.

Comments about Nirk Arrow Nocks:

I'm still trying to find a replacement for Mercury Nocks. Although I don't like a 'snap-nock' and prefer a higher index ridge, the shape of this nock looked pretty good.

I ordered two dozen Nirk Nocks, in two different colors. Both batches displayed crooked sockets, and uneven wall-thicknesses at the base of the sockets, rendering the nocks, unusable.

Nirk nocks, somewhat fragile
By 26th Street Stump ShooterVerified Purchaser from Manitowoc, WI on 5/15/2009
Pros:
Easy To Use
Cons:
Breaks Easily, Inconsistent
Best Uses:
Stump Shooting
Describe Yourself:
Recreational Archer
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Comments about Nirk Arrow Nocks:

I like the traditional "look", but am becoming very hesitant on using these nocks. They are somewhat fragile, breaking/splitting ,basically your dry firing your bow. This to a tune of about 1 per year, but this year it has happened 3x already. Does anybody make the old non snap nocks like the old days, never had one of them break, and who needs a snap on nock anyway? I'd sure hate to see my $750 investment ruined to a by a inferior $.20 piece of plastic.

Comments about Nirk Arrow Nocks:

These seem to be a little on the thin side. I have had 2 break. Unfortunately, one was the very first one I shot. It broke on the release...basically dry fired my bow. I was gun shy for a while after that, but have not had any other problems other than one other cracking.

Comments about Nirk Arrow Nocks:

These Nocks will give your arrows that classic look. They were easy to install but you should not press too hard when installing, might flatten out the edges. I purchased 100 of these nocks in "white". Consistent color throughout the product. Very fast delivery from 3 rivers with superior service. These nocks however needed some trimming on them due to plastic edges on them. Should note that there are no index indicators on these nocks.

I have found that these nocks fit larger diameter strings well. But they have a tendency to loosen as they get used more. Good fit on homemade wooden arrows. The cockfeather indicator lacks in size(no pun intended) and shape.

By Mungo Napier, Archer of Mallard LodgeVerified Purchaser from Virginia on 11/3/2008
Describe Yourself:
Competitive Archer
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Comments about Nirk Arrow Nocks:

I thought the Nirk Nocks were very poorly made. All we bought had very sharp burrs on the index tab that actually stuck our fingers. It was a simple thing to file them smooth, but we shouldn't have needed to. This shows very bad quality control. I won't buy Nirk Nocks again, but my sweetheart continues to use them only because they combine a "snap on" feature with the index tab.
