I love the trueflight feathers, but the lime color isn't lime, it is a fluorescent yellow. Customer Service wasn't very friendly when I called to find out if the right ones were sent. I didn't appreciate them arguing that they were lime when I was looking right at them. They didn't match the picture in the catalog either, regardless of them saying they do.

Years ago I thought it was my jig so replaced it then I discovered that all Fletching wasn't created equally. I was throwing out almost 50% of other brands just to get a good contact with the shaft. Now that I'm using Trueflight I've had to throw out 1 fletching of about 100. I have yet to find a better product!

I've been using TruFlights since I got started fletching last year. The feathers go on nicely with the tape and stay on. I think I've only had one feather break on a stumping impact. A very big plus is that they are made in the USA.

I love 5 1/2" shield cut feathers. They are easy to see in flight and look great. Downfall is they add extra weight and loose some speed (FPS) in flight. I use them basically for 3-D shooting but have used them occasionally on arrows for hunting. I limit myself to a maximum distance of 20 yards for hunting.

These are awesome, they work very well, the only problem I have had is with some of the feathers having a little bit of breakdown on them by the time they get to me. It looks like the bird had feather lice or something. However it does not affect how they fly.

Feathers work very nicely, better than any I have used, when applying a typical twist. Most feathers and vanes seem to have to be applied straight whether they claim a twist or not. These do not hold up to dampness any better than other feathers. None seem to be water resistant regardless of claims.

I made up a batch of arrows for turkey hunting this spring with your natural grey barred feathers (artificially barred)with your trade points sinewed on. They turned out pretty cool and fly way more consistant than I expected. I am shooting them with a Sudbury bow I built with a hickory bow blank from you as well and am very pleased with it too. So far this is the only feather I've used, so I can't compare them. The feathers seem to be very consistent and are easy enough to use. They seem to be very durable. I'm using the fletching tape with a drop of Beyond Bond fore and aft and they hang right on. I've had one feather break while stumping in the frozen woods. I've shot that arrow scores of times since and the back half is hanging on, guiding the arrow as well as I'm shooting any other.
No complaints and American made. I'll keep buying them from 3Rivers.

I fletched a half dozen arrows with lime and barred lime for visibility. I shoot them with the recurve. These are so bright that there will no need to dip the arrow. I chose sheild-style just to be a little different and all my friends have been flored by the appearance. So far I have shot each arrow about 50 times and there is no visible wear. These are high quality fletches, the best I've used.

I use fletching tape on all my feathers. Every once in a while one may come off, but it's not the product. I routinely take tough shots and tear up arrows. If I lose one, its no big deal. The replace quickly and the arrow is back in commission.

I have tried TrueFlight and others. While both make a good feather, TrueFlight has a much better looking barred feather, IMO. The barring is strong and clearly visible on both sides of the feather. I also prefer the shape of the shield fethers, but this is more a matter of personal taste.

There are many "big-name" sporting goods stores around me, but none carry feathers. They all cater mostly to compound bows and plastic vanes. Simply a great feather fletch. Unfortunately the feathers are unmarked and they arrive in a 3Rivers bag so you don't know for sure you are getting a TrueFlight feather. However I have no reason to believe they sent me anything other than what I ordered. My concern is I was recently informed by a local archery shop pro that TrueFlight has released a line of feathers that are "Certified Clean and Safe" as some feather fletchings have tested positive for "Bird Flu". I did not see any notification of this on the web site. So I am not sure if the feathers I ordered are "Certified" or not. I will have to call 3Rivers to find out.

I have purchased these twice from 3 Rivers, and each time they are perfect. I haven't found any that I cannot use, even in the 100 count pack. Great product, and the barred feathers look authentic! Other brands of barred feathers leave much to be desired aesthetically.

I have used TrueFlight feathers with both aluminum arrows/compound and wood arrows/recurve with great success. They are trimmed well with great square foots on them. No problem getting them to stay on the shaft with an offset or helical twist.

I normally use 5" feathers because 5.5" feathers are 'too long' measured from the back of the bow and to the bowstring. An arrow shot with these feathers 50 times a week is still fine after one or two years! Very durable.

This product is very close to the real thing which I also make for myself on occasion. The natural colors of the tradition barred feathers blend into the hunting woods very well. They are very durable and hold up well with lots of practice shots. Ihave found nothing to complain about with this product. I highly recommend them if you want traditional without the hard work.

I do Medieval re-enacting and buy the shield style fletch then cut off the last 1/2 inch to create a more period looking fletch. These fletches have served me well in the past and have been very satisfactory. The service from 3Rivers keeps me coming back!

When a guy fletches his own arrows, it's because he has something special in mind. I ordered several dozen 5 1/2" RW barred shields in traditional, and a couple of different barred colors. ALL of the feathers were SUPERIOR except the red barred. Although the packages were all marked 5 1/2", the red barred feathers were all smaller and shorter than the other colors. I won't order the red barred 5 1/2" shields again. It's important to point out that the other colors I ordered were spectacular!

I have used 5in. feathers (parabolic & shield cut) for the past 13yr. For the last 6yrs I've gone to strickly 5in. shield cut and do not plan to use anything else. They fly excellent with an 1&1/4in. fixed blade broad head, which is what I hunt with. I shoot a compound, but I shoot fingers, and I think the 5in. shields are really forgiving. The only draw backs I can add are that they are a little expensive (barred) and they don't like hunting in the rain!!
