As a beginning archer I noticed my arrows fishtail a lot. After switching from a glove to this tab my arrows seem to fly much truer. My accuracy seemed to improve too.

Well-made and very smooth tab, fits well, but takes a severe curl, and therefore could be confusing to use when hunting. Just fine for practice, but I will continue to use a glove when hunting.

This is exactly the tab I was looking for. The cordovan leather ought to last and last. The tab fits well, protects my fingers like I want without harming my feel for the string.

I like it and see no reason to change to anything else. The only minor complaint was that the stitching around the edge wasn't perfect. It was good but not perfect.

Super tough and soft if that makes sense. Always figured the elastic band would die.. not so far. Got my first one 5+ yrs ago and it's still going strong. Got another for a back up. Hands down the best "simple" tab.

I use this product for target shooting. I feel my release and anchor have both improved. It is easy to take off and put on and fits easliy in a pocket when not in use. I'm really not too crazy about the rubber finger separater. Next one I purchase will be without one.

I have tried many tabs and I had thought the best tab going was a simple cordovan tab without finger spacer from Alaska. The only down side, I thought, was that my fingers did get a little sore after an extended shooting session. I ordered the Cordovan Tab from 3 Rivers on a whim and I am really impressed. The cordovan is slicker than my previous tab, the finger spacer is almost not noticeable because of its shape and the double leather takes care of the sore fingers with an extended shooting session. My release has been a little cleaner with the finger spacer and the slicker leather. I wasn't sure about the elastic that goes around the finger but it is comfortable and more secure than my older tab with the hole in it. I also tried it with winter gloves and it works great that way.

I have large hands but I ordered the L instead of the XL. When I tried it on I thought maybe I'd have to order the XL but I tried it anyway. With my hand open the end of the tab comes to the first joint in my fingers but with a grip on the string the fit is perfect. I feel nothing on my finger tips on release and less material at the tip probably also helps my release. Overall, I couldn't be more pleased or impressed and I'll soon order another one -or two. I expect they will last for a long time.

At first look I have to say I thought I would not like it. It looked and felt too stiff, but I tried it anyway and I was really surprised. I didn't wait long to order a spare! It has the best feel of any I've used and the best protection I've felt for finger pinch or preventing sore fingers. I really like this one.

Just ordered the Cordovan Tab and have shot just over 200 arrows with it from my 55# Bear Takedown Recurve. I must say it has made a hugh difference in my shooting. I am new to traditional shooting and hunting and this tab has made an incredible difference in my groups at 20 yards. Finger protection and fit are fantastic and the off is super smooth compared to my calves hair tab. Unfortunately I ordered it right after bow season. I would love too have had it in the woods this season.

I would strongly recommend this product to any tab shooter.

I wasn't wild about the elastic finger band. It wants to slip forward. I also trimmed off the suede. It was just in the way and unnecessary IMO. I love the slick surface of the tab. The release is nice and crisp. Breakin was pretty quick. Nice tab, it should wear forever!

I use a calf hair tab and have the same problem as other bowhunters, after a few hundred shots the calf hair starts to burn off. I read about these Cordovan tabs and how tough they were so I tried it. It's true, after shooting a few hundred arrows it hardly shows any wear! E-x-c-e-l-l-e-n-t!

Outright great tab for the money. Breaks in relatively easy, tough cordovan leather for a smooth release, yet still soft enough for the "feel" after it's broke in. Finger pinch works wonderful. Great tab for the money, if wanting to try a cordovan tab out.

I'm a long time tab user - pretty particular about 'em - these cordovan tabs are as good as they get.. They stay slick and smooth and don't get a string groove and hang on release. I like 'em!

I have used this tab for several years for hunting and 3D shoots. I remove the rubber finger separator before I use the tab (personal preference). You also have the option of removing the second layer of leather for a better feel (I use mine as is). The elastic finger strap adjusts quickly for wearing with ½ finger gloves.

I shoot SCA target archery and also 3-D (working toward goal of bowhunting) with a 45 lb Bear Super Kodiak recurve. Traditional archery in its various facets is my thing, although I am admittedly not shooting "primative." I had read and heard that cordovan is the material of choice whether you choose tab or glove for string-finger protection. I had bought the horsehair tab offered by 3Rivers and liked it very much, but it developed a groove after about 1000 shots--for under $6, that's just fine. It offered a little better cushioning than this Cordovan Tab. This Cordovan Tab is just as comfortable, and I like the spacer which separates your "one over" from your "two under" fingers. Rather than a hole to stick your middle finger through, to hold the tab on, this one has a strap. This method works pretty well, as long as I remember to direct the strap end outward between my middle and ring finger. After about 400 shots, this Cordovan tab is showing no wear, and I enjoy the "old school" leather, so So Far So Good :-) Maybe four-and-a-half stars.

All my shooting. I add an extra leather layer with cover over the inside of the pointer finger which limits soreness when shooting heavy draw bows with thinner than normal FF strings. it adds to the comfort and makes shooting more enjoyable. It may not be as fast as a hair covered tab but will clearly outlast the hair covered tab. I had to get a new tab every 6-8 months because the hair would wear off the leather backing.

Fingers were in pain. Ordered a Dura glove, Super glove, Black Widow leather tab and this cordovan tab. Black Widow tab offered more protection, but I liked the feel of the cordovan tab so I added a 3rd piece of leather and have been shooting with it. Also replaced metal nocks on bowstring with dental floss and fingers are feeling much better.Will probably remove 3rd piece of leather.

This is the only tab I've used the last two years. At first I was concerned that the adjustable, elastic band which holds the tab to the middle finger would not be durable, but that fear proved unfounded.

Cordovan, or horse hide, is prized for it's fine grain and toughness. It's the perfect material for making a long lasting and smooth releasing tab. This tab, with it's adjustable elastic band, is comfortable and easy to fit to your hand. It's smooth release has helped my shooting immensely and I love the fact that I can still feel the string. I look forward to it's years of service.

Someone bought a new cordovan tab and gave me their old one. I noticed a smoother release at once, and my shooting improved using that old tab. I bought a new one and kept that old one as a spare. The only tab I'll ever buy!
