This tab is comfortable and the size fit me well. My only problem was the calf hair falling off the face of the tab within a day of getting it.

The release was very smooth, but after only a few flights the hair was worn off of the large section and the smaller section completely broke loose. Maybe a different hold, serving, etc. would work for another archer.

This is a great product, and I always get mine from 3Rivers. I like the feel and release from the calf-hair tab more than anything else. It seems to be faster than a glove. I love gloves, but I shoot better with a tab. I don't like the rubber pinch protector, so I usually take it off. Other than that, Thanks for a wonderful product 3Rivers

I have always used tabs, I tried the Ultra Elite tab but just not comfortable. The Calf Hair tab is easy to use and it never gets in the way. I have gone through probably a dozen Calf Hair tabs over many years, but for the price it's still the best.

I was disapointed. The calf hair wore off after 40 arrows on first tab. 2d replacement tab started serious wear after 100 arrows. Used on a 52# recurve with fasr flight string which could have contributed to the deterioration. Nice smooth release before hair came off. Could still use it, but the release was compromised.

I switched from a glove to this tab and I like
the tab much better than the glove. I got the
medium size and my finger had a tight fit in
the hole. I fixed this by slicing the hole
with a razor blade and it fit much better.
The release of this tab is so much smoother
than the stiff no feel glove I was using.
I have switched from a split finger draw to
a three fingers under and this tab still
works pretty good for that. However the hair
comes off after the first week of use. It still works pretty well though. It is very supple and
has good feel while providing good protection
for your fingers. I have tried several styles
and types of tabs recently and I like this one
the best. They are fairly reasonably priced, so
I might just keep a few on hand. They don't take long to break in either. I will go with the large
size next time.

I shoot several dozen arrows almost everyday. Time will be the be the real test for the calf hair tab. I have alway been happy with these tabs. I have been shooting with the new calf hair tab for about a three weeks and it loosing hair all ready. Seems a little soon.

At first I was skeptical of the hard spacer, my other tabs had felt. It works just fine. The hair seems to be wearing off quickly. We'll see how/if it affects performance. So far it is fine. The finger hole has a rivet that I am not fond of. Impedes removal. I prefer no rivet and the ability to 'stretch' the finger hole. I will buy another in spite of my perceived shortcomings.

I was very satified with the calf hair tabs until I received my most recent order. I shot the tabs maybe about 25 times and the hair and dye started coming off. I had to return all three tabs I purchased. I hope Three Rivers can figure out the problem.

I had been using a well constructed leather finger tab with a metal grommeted finger opening that I had purchased from my local archery dealer. I trimmed the edge down to fit my smaller fingers. While I liked it's perfomance, I wanted to try a calf hair finger tab that two resident competative finger shooters used. I have had positive experience from this store in offering quality products and ordered one in a small to fit my hand. Small means small in this case. It was perfect for my narrow fingers. The spacer would get twisted a bit causing me to fidgit with it each time I loaded an arrow but that was the trade off for more finger feel. Since I was trained to shoot with the middle and ring finger I eventually removed the plastic finger spacer and the index finger tab. Wonderful string feel and slick release. Especially when you powder the calf hair with talc. This is a tough little tab that should last a long time. I did have to be extra conscious maintaining even pressure between the shooting fingers adjusting to more string feel. Notice I used past tense in the last sentence. My husband managed to squash his middle finger into it to try it. He kept it.
Sigh........gotta buy another.

I love this tab! Very comfortable and smooth. At this price, you can get extras to keep in your quiver, bow case, backpack, etc. It feels so soft that you would think it would not provide enough protection, but the middle layer of thin rubber (the tab has three layers) makes it "just right". Well done!

And 3Rivers has the best in the business.A never ending supply of ole'faithful.I have bought 4 or so and keep one in my pack,glove box,bow case,etc. so I am never without one. Purchased a calf skin tab(which i'm still using)from 3 Rivers and like the feel & release. Calf hair has worn off so planned to replace with new one. After shooting approx 20 arrows with new tab it torn in 2 places and the hair was falling out in a big way - had to return it.
Has good a good release, feel & protection may have gotten one out of a bad batch.

I hate to dis a 3Riv product but the tab ripped in two places by its second use. I maybe shot a hundred arrows when this happened. I would have returned it but my kids got a hold of it and it vanished into the black hole of our basement! I'm going to try the cordovan next.

This was the first tab I have ever tried so I don't have another tab to compare it to. I was suprised at how much smoother my release was. I will be buying another for a backup in case I loose this one. The hair is coming out where I grip the string but doesn't seem to affect the shot in any way. The finger seperator also popped out once when I was climbing down my treestand ladder but easily went right back in. Hasn't happened again so may have been a one time deal. Overall I am very happy with the tab.

I've been shooting off and on since 1970, and I have been using the calf tab since the late 1970s. I've used it with recurves, compounds and a longbow, and it works flawlessly for me with my anchor at the corner of my mouth and my hand resting on my jaw and my folded thumb touching my ear at the second of release. It's very smooth with the same surprise you get with a good trigger on a rifle.

I use this finger tab on bows from 45 lbs. to 55 lb draw weights and shoot nearly 100 arrows a day. When I'm finished my fingers still feel great. I prefer this over a three finger glove.

One of the few pieces of equipment I bought that actually improved accuracy. I am an accomplished rifleman and pistoleer and live by the rule that you can't buy accuracy. You must practice. This piece of equipment for whatever reason afforded me a smoother realease which I think improved my shooting. The only analogy I know is a trigger job on a Smith & Wesson.

I'm very tough on my gear, this tab has held up. I buy one every year for at least 10 years. reliable, takes the tough elements, bounces back after wet. I don't like the little membrane that comes w/ tab, I just cut it out, which puts the nock and string and arrow in better allignment. The "can't pinch" feature is better designed than other models. Highly recommend.

I've used this type of tab for a number of years now. It is well made and functions well. The calf hair allows for a clean, smooth release. This tab has three layers which are removable. This allows the archer to adjust the thickness of the tab to suit the individual user. The rubber finger seperator keeps the archer from pinching the arrow.

It's very rare that I find a finger-tab that fits my large sized hand. The extra-large fits it perfectly. It has very high-quality construction.

This is a nice tab, especially for the price, and has some great features. The horsehair string surface shoots quickly and smoothly, and the rubber finger grip on the outside gives just the right feel to drawing-back your arrows. This (and I suppose most) tabs offer a great deal more protection than most gloves. On the down side, I found that the horsehair develops a worn groove fairly quickly (for me, within 3 months...which was honestly probably 2-3K shots). The groove starts to interfere with your smooth release, necessitating a replacement. Cordovan-faced leather tabs last longer. But for $[$], can you really go wrong?

The layered construction works great. It keeps the string from sitting in the groves of your fingers. I've used it on compounds and now on my recurve. The last one lasted two years, I only had to replace it because I lost it.

I've tried other tabs, but this is by far my favorite. I will order a few more just for hunting back ups. There is no break in period. the leather is soft right out of the package and I was shooting good groups my first time using it.

There should be a size chart. I don't order three or 4 at a time because I can never remember what size I need. I usually order one medium and one large to get the size right and end up throwing the medium away or using as a backup in my quiver. 2.5" - 3" is medium, 3"-4" is a large. These are index finger measurements.(Helpful hint keep tab in pocket at all times as a reminder to practice). This product has no break in period so keep a scent free one in quiver for hunting. Descent by leaving on roof for one week in sun.
