I have a Martin leather glove that I really like, but I needed more protection for a heavier hunting bow. I feel no pain through this glove and it releases well. I have release a thousand arrows through it and so far it is holding up.

    Finger stalls too thick...
By Brian BerryVerified Purchaser from Brighton, CO on 3/25/2010

    Cons:
    Poor Feel, Restricts Movement, Uncomfortable
    Describe Yourself:
    Recreational Archer
    Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

    Comments about Tred Barta Gloves:

Well constructed glove EXCEPT that the finger stall are 3 layers thick on the fingers (2 leather, 1 nylon). Makes the fingers feel about as thick as a pair of insulated work gloves. The nylon webbing is very thick as well, as opposed to the cordura like material used on some others. Good glove if you need MAXIMUM string protection but way too thick and feeling-less for my tastes....

    Comments about Tred Barta Gloves:

Been using tabs for about fifteen years, get out of the rut try something new. If all else fails give it to your lady as a coin purse. A few obsticles at first like grabbing the nock in a back quiver was like a gorilla combing its hair, Your fingers are now alot bigger, just leave it on when you sleep for a few nights will get you tuned in..The construction of having your fingers, upper palm, wrist all locked together is awesome stability. Your anchor point like in my case might have to be adjusted slightly, you'll find that spot automatically and its really just a fraction of space from where your accustomed to. The release feels alot stiffer, stronger control with heavier bows.felt as thou my posture and follow-through got some tech training..Dont think about it just get.

    Comments about Tred Barta Gloves:

I once wrote a glowing review on this glove, but since then the nylon webbing on the middle finger has disintegrated way before it's time. the rest of the glove is in good shape. my American Leather glove has a lot more shots on it but is still going strong. so I guess you get what you pay for.

    Comments about Tred Barta Gloves:

This is a nice glove that fit well and is comfortable. I'm new to trad archery and I'm still fine tuning my anchor and release. The gloves are now grooved so I feel like I'm stuck holding the string in that spot whether I want to or not. Maybe all gloves are like this not sure. The finger tips are very thick with the nylon on them so you can't perform too many task with it on.

    Comments about Tred Barta Gloves:

This is a good glove for the money. I use it as a backup because if I used it every day it would wear out quickly. I wore my first one out in 3 months, but I shoot a lot. I like this glove as a hunting glove because it is very comfortable, but not as a daily shooter because it will wear out quickly.

    Pros:
    Good Protection, Smooth Release
    Describe Yourself:

    Comments about Tred Barta Gloves:

The finger tips are really thick. If I was shooting 50lb or lighter I don't think I'd want this glove. The sides of the finger stales make noise against my carbon arrows during the draw. This can be fixed quickly by ruffing up the surface with a knife edge or sand paper. Other than that its not a bad glove at all. I'll use it until it wears out.

    Comments about Tred Barta Gloves:

The middle finger leather and webbing rotated constantly with use. I have to twist it back to the position of the nylon webbing on the string after just about every shot. I guess I got a bum made one. I hope they aren't all like this. The thickness of the webbing also makes it difficult to feel nocks during pulling an arrow out of the quiver while keeping an eye on the target.

    Comments about Tred Barta Gloves:

I bought this glove for wet weather. I shot it all summer, practicing and at 3D shoots with no rain. I spent 10 days hunting caribou in alaska with no rain, and lost the glove somewhere on the way back. I did get plenty of rain and snow elk hunting in Idaho after the Alaska trip. I didnt get to try it in wet weather and I will be buying another one.

I bought two, but only need one

I bought two of these things, (because I tend to wear out gloves pretty fast). I have been shooting one every day for about four months now and it is still in excellent condition.

    Great product

Very soft leather that doesn't irritate the skin. I really like the design and the material.
