Comments about Big-Shot-Elk Shooting Glove Elk:
For being one of 3Rivers most expensive gloves, this leaves a lot to be desired. It's the only glove that gives you instructions on how to measure your hand to get the best fit. However, those measurements are misleading. According to their measurements I would take an XL glove yet when it arrived the finger stalls had too much room in them although the length felt alright. My wife was supposed to take a small yet again the length was okay but she couldn't even get her fingers into the stalls. The nylon seemed to be too stiff to allow for a decent release since it tends to be inflexible and bunches in the creases of the finger when you curl your finger as if too shoot. Finally, I know a thing or two about leatherworking and I found the stitching to be sloppy looking and not at all what I would expect from a glove that costs easily about 5x more than any other glove out there. All in all just way too expensive for what you get. Sent them back for simple cordovan shooting gloves. Save your money and stick with simple inexpensive designs that are tried and true.

Comments about Big-Shot-Elk Shooting Glove Elk:
I bought one, expecting a super smooth , soft glove. they are well constructed, but there is just too much going on. The figer stalls are cramped, and the string feel is almost zero. the release is smoot, if you can get consistent finger placement.they are very bulky, and consrict movement, and I would not call them comfortable. also, the wrist strap is too far foward, wrapping around your hand instead. this glove may work for some people, but if you have big hands, long fingers, etc.
only my opinion

Comments about Big-Shot-Elk Shooting Glove Elk:
I bought this product because I have a finger pinch issue with my 51# @ 30" - 58" long recurve bow. I just received the elk glove, so I've only used it once. It appears that I won't have any more finger pinch issues. I was using a tab and cowhide glove in combination to eliminate the pinch. My release will now be smoother and I anticipate that my target scores will dramatically improve.

Great work, American Leathers!

Nice glove but neither the medium nor large fit very well. Prefer a
meet tradition with cordovan tips over this and they are 1/3 the price

Comments about Big-Shot-Elk Shooting Glove Elk:
this is a nicely constructed glove. I can't answer about the durability of the finger coverings yet, but it is comfortable and gives a good release. I typically shoot a Neet Traditional glove with cordovan tips at 1/3 this price, but they are hard to find.

Comments about Big-Shot-Elk Shooting Glove Elk:
This glove is made for high performing strong bows. I shoot hybrid longbows with 60# plus draw weight. Before I purchased the Big-Shoot-Elk glove my fingers would get sore from shooting. Now I can practice as long as I like.
Great service and delivery.

Comments about Big-Shot-Elk Shooting Glove Elk:
The sizing of this product was smaller than I have experience with other similar shooting gloves. So a person may want to order one size larger than normal.
The materials look great now and it will be interesting to see how it ages.
One down-side is the leather dye leaches out onto my hand when things get hot and a little sweat enters the picture. This issue may go away with continued use.
Great string release material on the finger tips.

This is my go to glove and will buy another for backup purposes.
Comments about Big-Shot-Elk Shooting Glove Elk:
I love the feel of this glove. The finger tabs fit tight. I could do without the camo but a black magic marker fixed that. Clean release.

Best shooting glove I have found in several years of shooting. Pricey up front but worth it in the long run.

Comments about Big-Shot-Elk Shooting Glove Elk:
I am 62 years old and started shooting in 1954. This has been the best glove that I have ever used. I still shoot 67# and have hunted all over the US. I have another one for a backup but I can't seem to wear this one out. The nylon does tend to scratch your face but If you're a hunter you don't mind.

Comments about Big-Shot-Elk Shooting Glove Elk:
Being a hunter I practice daily in preparation for that one shot when it counts. I purchased this product because I had developed some numbness on a finger tip. Within 10 days of using this glove the numbness completely went away and my release improved as well. IMO, this is a great glove and I will get another as a backup. Construction is top notch. Snug fitting to begin with, but stetched out perfectly to fit my hand.

Comments about Big-Shot-Elk Shooting Glove Elk:
The quality and feel of this glove is superb. Great leather work and high quality leather. The neoprene on the knuckles is a great touch. I would suggest only using this glove with higher poundage bows. I was using it on a 45# bow and I had trouble feeling the string. The finger tips are very thick but offer great protection and a smooth release. Great glove, but not for low poundage.
3Rivers is by far the best Customer service / Shipping I have seen in archery to date.

Comments about Big-Shot-Elk Shooting Glove Elk:
This glove is really nice. I lost a little string feel due to thickness, but my fingers are not getting burned as badly either, so it's a give and take between the two.

Comments about Big-Shot-Elk Shooting Glove Elk:
I've returned to shooting after years off. I now play guitar, and my release hand (left) is also my fretting hand. My middle finger was chronically numb with my old leather glove. The Big Shot fit perfectly, nice and snug, and instantly had great release. Very smooth, very comfortable, and saved my guitar playing. I'd pick up a backup, but I don't think I'll ever need one unless I lose this one...been shooting it extensively for 2 months, looks like new (except for a perfect indent at my string position). Might pick up a backup and stick it in a drawer, in case they stop making them! Some disliked the camo neoprene peeking through the back of the glove (it's not black like in some photos)...didn't make a difference to me.
Comments about Big-Shot-Elk Shooting Glove Elk:
Excellent fit and feel - passed it around the range and everyone loved the way this glove shoots. Wanted to try the kangaroo glove, but the Republik I live in does not allow it. Was expecting black in the tear drop cutouts, but mine came with a camo neoprene instead. Glad I made this choice.

Excellent with heavy draw wt. bows, the best I have ever used !
Comments about Big-Shot-Elk Shooting Glove Elk:
I liked the whole package. Strong tuff, but still supple.
Comments about Big-Shot-Elk Shooting Glove Elk:
Used a tab for 3 decades but my new Shrike recurve caused a pinching that affected my release. I wanted a top quality glove that would overcome this and still give a good release. This glove works!
Comments about Big-Shot-Elk Shooting Glove Elk:
I had heard a lot about this glove, but was hesitant about buying one because of the price. I have used or tried just about every glove out there. All I can say is that I should have bought one a long time ago. Besides being extremely well made and comfortable, I could not believe how it improved my shooting. Most likely because of a clean improved release. I was so impressed with this glove that I ordered a second one from 3Rivers.
Delivery was super fast, as is always the case with 3Rivers !!!!

Comments about Big-Shot-Elk Shooting Glove Elk:
Not to sure about this glove! I had purchased a cheap $15 3-fingered glove from another sporting goods store and the release was great! I spent $45 on this one and it seems that it creates alot of string noise on release! I'm putting some string silencers on to see if that helps! Hopefully with more shooting time the glove will soften up and reduce the string noise!
Comments about Big-Shot-Elk Shooting Glove Elk:
This glove is a definate improvement over my old American Leathers glove, it delivers a super smooth release that seems to get better with use.
Comments about Big-Shot-Elk Shooting Glove Elk:
I've order a Large one. Too small, like M.Good manufacture. I think it's a good for hard-shooter, too sophisticated for hunterI come back to traditionnal gloves like TAZ or Duraglove. Best regards Jp
Comments about Big-Shot-Elk Shooting Glove Elk:
Now have a dozen types of gloves. Most do not fit well. Most have string wrinkles. This stands out as the exception. String contact pad is smooth but unlikely for the sowing to last.
Comments about Big-Shot-Elk Shooting Glove Elk:
put a couple of hundred shots through this glove. This is my second Big Shot Elk. The first glove started to come apart at the seams after a few hundred shots. Could have been a fluke.

Comments about Big-Shot-Elk Shooting Glove Elk:
Good glove. I´ve been shooting better since i´ve used it. Nylon scratches face. Check the size, I ordered small because I have short hands, but it fits very tight. Stretches a bit with use. Shot my first turkey with it last weekend!

Comments about Big-Shot-Elk Shooting Glove Elk:
I was skeptical about the nylon tips but have to admit that they are smoother, and more durable than leather. I'd can the camo insert.
Comments about Big-Shot-Elk Shooting Glove Elk:
Still getting used to the nylon and neoprene, would prefer all leather
Comments about Big-Shot-Elk Shooting Glove Elk:
I used a damascus type golve but my finger tips would go numb. I got a heaver glove which helped with the finger pain, but it was cheap and only lasted a couple of months. The first day with the Big Shot I was able to shoot more arrows than usual. The release is smoother and NO pain. After a few weeks shooting, now my shoulders will wear out, but my fingers don't bother me at all. I am very satisfied with this product.
Comments about Big-Shot-Elk Shooting Glove Elk:
A smooth comfortable release every time, and no sore fingers after a long shooting session, this glove has helped my shooting by leaps and bounds I can shoot groups at 35 yds how I used to shoot at 15 yds.
Comments about Big-Shot-Elk Shooting Glove Elk:
Ain`t getting better ;o)
Comments about Big-Shot-Elk Shooting Glove Elk:
I noticed a big improvement in my releases with this glove. They feel much more crisp and clean. I feel that this glove has improved my shooting. It did take some getting use to because the finger tips were a little more bulky than I was use to.
As always, the service was great and the delivery prompt.
Comments about Big-Shot-Elk Shooting Glove Elk:
The glove fits perfectly, has a nice look and is very protective. I use a Mongol bow of 60# draw weight and the glove works very well !
It took only 6 days to arrive to me in Brazil.
Comments about Big-Shot-Elk Shooting Glove Elk:
Excellent protection with 57# bow. Mine came with camo neoprene not pictured on the web site and is kind of ugly. Nothing a black sharpie didn't take care of though. Over all I'm happy with it.
Comments about Big-Shot-Elk Shooting Glove Elk:
I have hunted and shot 3D with this glove for over a year. I shoot a lot and this glove shows no wear at all it just takes a few shots to get broke in.
Comments about Big-Shot-Elk Shooting Glove Elk:
Cannot get any better, fast and efficient
Comments about Big-Shot-Elk Shooting Glove Elk:
Best glove I've ever used. The neoprene is ugly but that is a small complaint. I shoot 55# and this glove works good at that weight.
Comments about Big-Shot-Elk Shooting Glove Elk:
An extremely well made product. It is a little pricey, however, I can see why.
Comments about Big-Shot-Elk Shooting Glove Elk:
Gives very smooth release.
Comments about Big-Shot-Elk Shooting Glove Elk:
Lost my first one in the woods, had to buy a replacement immediately.
Comments about Big-Shot-Elk Shooting Glove Elk:
Use with longbow. Very nice firm finger tips. Very smooth release. Well constructed. Looks like it will outlast all of my previous gloves.
Comments about Big-Shot-Elk Shooting Glove Elk:
I would like to see this glove in a heavy bow model - nylon should be twice as thick - like a military web belt. It is just too thin to protect fingers if the daw weight is over 55#. I shoot 60-73#.
Comments about Big-Shot-Elk Shooting Glove Elk:
I bought one of the first shooting gloves that American Leathers produced many years ago. It was excellent but this glove is superior in design, fit and smooth release.

Comments about Big-Shot-Elk Shooting Glove Elk:
Very well made of top quality material. The camo (WWII pattern!) is UGLY. I'd have liked black, as in the picture. This glove feels awkward at first and needs getting used to - about a hundred shots or so. Very little "string feel" for a 42# shooter like me. Would be great for you heavy pullers.
Comments about Big-Shot-Elk Shooting Glove Elk:
I have shot with, and wore out, many gloves over the years. I shoot twice a day routinely. This is the best glove I have ever owned! I have only had it a couple of months, but it is holding up better than any other I have tried. "If" I ever wear this one out, I will not hesitate in buying another just like it.
