Comments about Dura-Glove Archery Shooting Glove:

This is the best glove that I've used. It provides good protection without being too stiff. I was developing some bad habits (similar to a "flinch" when shooting a gun) because my last glove was too soft. My fingers would get sore and my string hand would creep forward as I released. The Duraglove has fixed that and I can concentrate on getting my form back. I use it for two recurves and a primitive longbow.

Comments about Dura-Glove Archery Shooting Glove:

This glove shoots great from the first arrow!!! It has a smooth release that is super quiet. I would recommend this glove to anyone looking to get a new glove. I did have to stretch the index finger of the glove because it was a little tight, but I would rather have to stretch it than tighten it.

Comments about Dura-Glove Archery Shooting Glove:

Not thinking when ordering that cordura doesn't stretch I ordered my normal size. I would recommend at least for anyone that normally uses a small in other leather gloves to go to a medium. I'm not sure about the other sizes. After a few days was luckily able to work in the leather part of the fingers to provide a little tight but comfortable fit and now have one of the best gloves I have owned in this style. Good feel and release with good quality construction that will last.I have no finger fatigue at 48lbs but have not tested on higher weighted bows.I also shoot three fingers a under and have wonderful results with this glove.

Easy ordering and fast shipping. Very please with the service at 3Rivers.

Comments about Dura-Glove Archery Shooting Glove:

Bought this glove to use with my new 45# take-down. Wanted to use it with my 65# recurve, but it's just too thin. Was not impressed with the texture of the finger pads. For my money, they should be smooth, not rough. Releases smoothly enough when I hold the string on the tips of my fingers, but not if I hook it with the first joints.

I purchased this glove before hunting season, after practicing all summer with a different glove. I tried the Dura-Glove at practice, expecting to save it until next year, but it feels comfortable and I am shooting well with it. My season opens in 2 weeks and the Dura-Glove will be on my hand. My old glove will be a backup.

I was in a quandry over what sort of archery glove to purchase for my husband who was taking up archery as a serious venture. Both of us prefer the challenge of finger shooting. When talking to various people at sporting good stores I discovered none were experienced in archery. I found this web site and Shawn Leins spent time evaluating my husbands situation and suggested this glove. He loves it. Thank you Shawn! I appreciate your time and candor.

This is a good glove. It fits just right and is very comfortable. It protects your fingers well, but allows you to feel the string, increasing release control. Release quality is as good as any glove I've tried. There is no "break-in". The glove shoots about the same from the first shot until it's worn out. I shoot quite alot and I've worn one out in about a year, but I have ordered another one.

the glove fits tight, but the fingers seem too long beyond my finger tips. i'm used to a tab, and the tab ends at my finger tips. i can't get a good feel of the string on my finger tips with the glove. i went back to the tab-i'll keep it for a back up.

Comments about Dura-Glove Archery Shooting Glove:

I originally started shooting my recurve with "No-glove" rubber finger protecters. After about 2 seasons with it and watching a couple of instructional DVD's purchased through 3Rivers Archery, I quickly started shooting string only, with cheap gloves. Now that I can pull the string back and release it in one smooth motion, I have become a more confident archer. Thanks 3Rivers for staying true to the traditionalists!

Comments about Dura-Glove Archery Shooting Glove:

I have been shooting bare fingered or with a tab (usually bare fingered) for 2 years. I was very skeptical of gloves and losing the ability to feel the string as I release. Today I tested this product which I ordered. For now I cannot speak of long term wear and tear. However the sensitivity provided with this product allows me to throw away or give away my tab and stop shooting bare fingered. This is the answer to my problems.

This glove is very comfortable and well constructed. My other glove is all leather and I've gotten used to it. This one is a bit more slippery on the release but will be better than all leather if things get wet. Like a lot of things, the glove takes some getting used to.

Comments about Dura-Glove Archery Shooting Glove:

I purchased this glove about 2 years ago and have practiced almost daily with it and taken it on several hunts. The best thing about it is its durability. It's still going strong. I don't see myself replacing it anytime soon. I can't vouch for the cordura being the smoothest release but I do just fine with it and it seems indestructible.

I have struggled with my shooting and with several different types of goves and tabs. But I have found it. This glove gives me the best release of anything I have tried. Comments about Dura-Glove Archery Shooting Glove:

This glove gives you excellent stringer feel. I personally don't like a glove that the string can easily slip from without the intentions of a shot. I'm in complete control of the string and yet as you make the shot the glove allows for a smooth release. One of the best I've owned in many years. I'll make sure it's on when I'm shooting National 3-D Tournaments AND while hunting this fall!!!!

Comments about Dura-Glove Archery Shooting Glove:

I have a lot of shooting experience but am not a competitive archer. You definitely can feel the string on release. However, I shot significantly better with this glove than my current glove. I think the thinner material allows a better "hook" with the fingers giving me a more relaxed hand and a better anchor. It really performed well.

Comments about Dura-Glove Archery Shooting Glove:

Initially, I was looking for a good glove to shoot three fingers traditional with, to use during practice sessions. I hunt with bare fingers, and practiced with bare fingers. Now, I can shoot all that I want in one session without having to stop for sore fingers. I've had this glove for a couple of weeks, and it was practically broken in when I got it. The glove is comfortable, the string comes off the fingers smoothly, and the velcro on the wrist is of good quality construction. I've released several arrows since it arrived, and really like this glove. Instead of hunting bare fingers, it will be on my hand during deer season.

Comments about Dura-Glove Archery Shooting Glove:

This glove's quality has gone down a bit in my opinion. The thickness in the leather especially at the finger tips is thinner than the older models of this glove. I notice it and felt that the older ones were made with thicker leather to protect the fingers a bit more. That is the only negative I have on this glove.

Comments about Dura-Glove Archery Shooting Glove:

I love the way the string comes off the glove. The medium-sized glove provides a snug fit for me (at 6 foot, 195 pounds with average-sized hands), but not too tight. The suggested way to measure hand size worked. I suggest you choose smaller than larger if you find yourself in the middle of two sizes.

Very nice glove! Very smooth release and very durable! The Cordura fingers create a slick, but not too slick a surface for the perfect release!

There is little if any break in period with this glove and it becomes as familiar as an old friend after a short time. Manufacturing quality is outstanding. Leather surfaces are soft, but still durable. Excellent Glove! I will buy another Dura-Glove before turkey season to keep in my pack as a backup just in case I lose my current glove or forget it at the cabin.

Comments about Dura-Glove Archery Shooting Glove:

If you are looking for a great fitting glove as well as a functional glove, this is the one for you. I purchased my Dura glove with a recommendation from a fellow archer. After receiving my glove I tried it on instantly. The fit was great. I have a rather large hand and this glove was easy to put on. I had to try it out, so out I went with my longbow in hand. You would be amazed at how this glove allows the string to come off of your fingers so easy. The cordura nylon on the finger tips is great. I felt no pinching or sore spots after several hours of shooting. I figured I needed to give the glove a real field test. On saturday the 21st I went to the Great Ohio Rabbit hunt. There were 70 traditional archers at the event. Of all the shooters there, I noticed and counted at least 10 of these gloves on the archers hands. That was a good confidance builder for me. We hunted rabbits that morning. I mostly was stump shooting as we didn't see any rabbits. The glove was great. I had very good dexterity and could snap shoot right away. I can tell you with confidence that the dura-Glove is a very good product. If you want a glove to hunt with, shoot targets and anything in between, this is the glove for you.

Very nice glove. Quality leather and construction. The Cordura reinforced tips are a nice touch. They seem like they'll wear well. Careful about sizing - the sizing chart indicated that I wear a large glove, but at the advice of another review, I ordered a medium. Glad I did - it fits perfectly (a little snug at first, but will stretch with use). Would buy again, and recommend.

Comments about Dura-Glove Archery Shooting Glove:

Quality construction, and sure to outlast leather gloves. However, for me personally, a miss. Having been taught to shoot more with instict and feeling than anything else, this glove releases too quickly. With leather tips, I can feel the release as it happens, but the cordura on these makes the feeling disappear, and the release too quick for me. As a product, it is very good - but just not usable for my style. I would recommend this to a friend, but warn him of the slick release.

Comments about Dura-Glove Archery Shooting Glove:

Excellent quality. As I said, you get what you pay for. String slides off very smoothly, as a matter of fact it took a little bit to get used to that. I've been shooting a recurve for about one year and been using a rather cheaply made archery glove from walmart. Trust me, a good quality archery glove can make a huge difference in your shooting and this glove fits the bill. Well worth the money if your serious about archery.

Comments about Dura-Glove Archery Shooting Glove:

When I first felt the fingers on this glove I though there is no way I could shoot very long with it because of the thin feel. I am used to an old thick leather 1970's glove. I was very surprised that it had the protection it does. You can certainly feel the string, but your fingers don't get sore.

Comments about Dura-Glove Archery Shooting Glove:

This glove has surpassed all of my expectations. It has broke in fairly quickly, and feels great. The protection to my fingers is more than adequate and I really like the cordura on the finger tips. I just hope this is a product that does not disappear from the catalog, because I will be buying more of them and telling my friends about them as well.

Comments about Dura-Glove Archery Shooting Glove:

Very comfortable with hardwearing tips but the fit leaves a bit to be desired. On mine the index finger is somewhat twisted which leeds to partial contact of the leather side with the string. Also the size seems rather too larger requiring frequent readjustment. A good enough glove for the price.

Comments about Dura-Glove Archery Shooting Glove:

This is a great glove, especially in cold weather, where it's not as stiff as leather. The price with shipping though was a turn off, and not sure it's worth it since the top of the index finger already started to wear from the string after only a few dozen shots. The material needs to cover more of the sides of the index and ring fingers. Then it may be worth the money.

This is the first glove I have used. Started out with a tab. I was worried about break in but I shot just as good with the new glove as before. Very smooth relase and comfortable. Don't know about wear on the fingers yet but it appears to be very tough but still smooth on the release. Won't go back to tab.

Comments about Dura-Glove Archery Shooting Glove:

The first glove I bought wasn't made well. It had a twist sewn into the index finger. Even with this the release was by far better than any of my other gloves, and I own just about all of them. I shot this glove in the rain, snow and blazing heat and the performance has been consistant. Several times the glove was wringing wet and the release was the same as when dry. Can't say that about my leather gloves. The new glove I just received is of better construction, the velcro strap is heavier, the fingers are straight, and it has the overall look of being a more quality product than the first glove. The first glove loosed 10,000 plus arrows, shows no wear and no string groove! This is the only glove you will ever need.

Comments about Dura-Glove Archery Shooting Glove:

I have skinny fingers without a lot of meat on them. This makes pulling a bow over 35lbs very painful. These gloves give me the added protection I need to pull a heavy bow. These gloves have a synthetic material on the string side of my fingers that allows a clean release. I recommend them to anyone needing added protection and still get a clean release.

In addition, it provides a very smooth release.. Much smoother then an leather tipped glove.

Comments about Dura-Glove Archery Shooting Glove:

I needed some finger protection but I do not like tabs. The glove is comfortable, with soft leather construction and easy adjustment around the wrist. The fingertip area is covered with Cordura nylon fabric for wear resistance. So far I have cast 500+ arrows with the glove. The Cordura shows a slight dulling of the material, indicative of a bit of wear, but much less than I was expecting. From this experience, I'm estimating more than 5000 arrows from the glove. I think that is excellent. Initially the fingertips were a little stiff and my release suffered. I soon broke the glove in though. I won't go back to a tab and would buy this product again. In fact I plan to do so for my son as soon as I need enough stuff to warrant another order.

I shoot 2-4 3D tournements a month and I have always shot bare fingered which would fatigue me on long shoots of 30 targets or more or on back to back shoots I have tried many gloves and tapes. with this glove I really feel comfortable it's almost like not wearing a glove and it lasts. I have used this glove a great deal in bad conditions and weather and I think its just getting broke in thanks 3R

I'M NORMALLY A TAB SHOOTER BUT THIS IS THE FIRST GLOVE THAT GIVES ME A "FEEL" FOR THE STRING. I WOULD LIKE TO NOTE THAT I SHOOT LIGHT BOWS 45-60 POUND RANGE SO I DON'T KNOW HOW HEAVY BOW SHOOTERS WOULD FIND IT.

Comments about Dura-Glove Archery Shooting Glove:

I have used a tab exclusively for over 30 years (always with sights). I wanted to begin learning instinctive shooting and decided using a glove would reduce what I had to concentrate on doing. This glove is completely comfortable for me, and affords a nice clean release. Based on early use I recommend it.

Comments about Dura-Glove Archery Shooting Glove:

I originally ordered a size large thinking it might stretch enough for a comfortable fit, but I'm sure it would always be too snug as the finger stalls were way too narrow, so I re-ordered the same glove in Extra-large and found it to be overly large with dis-proportionate finger stalls.
After contacting 3R. they assured me they would help find the RIGHT glove for me....and I'm still an avid 3R customer. Service is always top-notch!

After 50 arrows from recurve, it has replaced the other gloves I have tried, including cordovan leather, seal skin, and deer skin. Very slick, clean release, great protection, yet still let's me feel the string. Easy to get a deep hook if you want to shoot that style. Good fit and quality construction. I wish I would have tried it sooner!

I really like this glove, the day I got it I went out and shot for an hour and my fingers never got the lease bit sore. The tips are super slick, allowing for a very consistant release. The only con would be the finger tips are a litte narrow and the seams are a little bulky, but it didn't seem to affect anything.

The dura-glove has been my favorite glove this past year. My only complaint is that the second one I ordered was not made as well as the first. The leather on the wrist strap is made of a lower quality material than the first one and stitching not quit as good. Still the best out there.

Comments about Dura-Glove Archery Shooting Glove:

Very good product. Works as described. Only thing I have to complain about is the stitching on the index finger stall comes up the front of the finger and is under the string, as if it has a twist sewn into it. But even with this the glove has a better release than all the others I've tried. I shoot three under. Will try another and see if it is better.

Comments about Dura-Glove Archery Shooting Glove:

This is by far the best glove I have ever owned. I had a Damascus for awhile and absolutely hated it. Other gloves formed string grooves too quickly, which hinder accuracy. For that reason, I shot a hair tab for a long time, which are great when new, but don't last long, the hair comes out and they develop a groove. 3Rivers advertise this as the last glove you will ever have to buy, Believe it! The tips do not develop grooves. I think I'm going to buy another one with my next order, to have as a backup, or just in case they ever discontinue this item, I don't know why they would, but stranger things have happened. Take my advice and order two, you won't be sorry. Kevin

Comments about Dura-Glove Archery Shooting Glove:

The only drawback to this glove is that the finger stalls are a little short, noticeably shorter than a Martin glove. I had to build up a callous on my middle finger on the palm side of the first joint! I shoot with the string in the finger joint. 3Rivers told me the glove was not desiged for shooting with the string in the joint. Duh, why not? However all other aspects of the glove are really nice. I shoot 60 lbs and have no problem with my fingers hurting or going numb, as some others have said.

Comments about Dura-Glove Archery Shooting Glove:

I use this glove for hunting and just everyday shooting, I have tried other gloves and tabs but none compare to this one. It is so smooth on release the string just slides off. My wife has one ,my daughter my brother and his three sons who are 13,12,and 10 years old and everyone was shooting very well right from the get go. And in my opinion it has to do with how good of a release you get with this glove.Simply the BEST.

I've used the regular berlin gloves for years and have always been happy, but this new glove with the cordura panels is quite a bit slicker on the release. Well worth the money.

Comments about Dura-Glove Archery Shooting Glove:

I am a hunter and target archer. The cordura overlays are a great idea. It's early, but I beleive it will be very durable. Very comfortable with good feel. The strap is made of low quality leather. It is a bit fragile and thin. The velcro that is mounted on the strap should be longer to avoid it pulling away from the strap. Also, the velcro is of poor quality and has become loose already. I have used the glove approximately six times. These issues may seems small but are infact very important. Take a look at the glove form [...]. The strap and velcro setup on it are made correctly.

Comments about Dura-Glove Archery Shooting Glove:

It is tough and slick but I found that if I used it with bows 65 - 75 pounds it felt almost like bare finger shooting (negatively so.) The heavier the bow the more it felt like that. So if you shoot the average bow weights this will give you one of the best releases you've ever experienced.

I shoot everyday around 100 arrows or more. I've been using this single glove for months and it's still holding up. I used a different style leather glove and couldn't get the smooth release I feel with this glove not to mention the leather tore off the fingers. I can honestly say this is the best glove i've ever used.

I've shot the damascus glove for decades-the 3-rivers dura-glove has everything I like about the damascus and more-it has maintained the excellent feel for the string - the dura-glove is faced with Cordura on the shooting fingers - much better wear and much better wet weather performance

Comments about Dura-Glove Archery Shooting Glove:

I bought this glove because I was having issues with practicing 30 minutes a day on a heavy pull longbow...the thinner Damascus style gloves didn't have the protection needed for consistent practice. This glove made my practice sessions a lot easier and increased my accuracy with a great feel on the release.

May take a little getting used to. I only shoot my recurve occasionally right now. The side of my index finger hurts after a few shots with this glove but I may just need to shoot more to build up a callous. All gloves have done this so it is not necessarily this one. Smooth release and great workmanship.

Comments about Dura-Glove Archery Shooting Glove:

I have always used a finger tab for traditional shooting, but found that the middle finger on my draw hand often went numb after shooting targets. The Dura-glove seems to have cured that, but still gives me good string feel and smooth release. I'd recommend it to anyone who shoots a lot of arrows.

Comments about Dura-Glove Archery Shooting Glove:

Been shooting archery for going on 20 year, maybe 6 or 7 with a release. Just got back into trad about a year ago, started with the same old style gloves. Fingers not as strong or durable as they once was. The dura glove takes a little away from string feel, but it makes up for it in protection and smooth releases. This glove should last for a long time. Good luck, shoot true.
