I owned a Damascus glove that I had purchased several years ago, which was very comfortable, large size fit me perfect. However when I ordered the same size the new Damascus seemed completely different. It was tight and long on my fingers and very stiff. Don't understand they must be making them different.

These gloves used to be excellent. Now, for some reason, the finger protection was made with soft leather which not only provided less protection than the older model gloves, but tore literally within the first hour of shooting. I'm very disappointed.

i shoot 40-200 arrows a day. i love to shoot. and when using the buck skin glove it would brake down and fall apart in about a month. and with the doe skin i can make it through the compitions my practice and still hunt with it. can get about a year out of it with all that shooting. and its the best i have found so far.

The break in time was very short, and it feels so good on my hand. I am impressed with the tactile feeling I still have when the protection to my fingers is so good. I have actualy had my arm wear out before my fingers with this glove. I would recommend it to every one. It is very well priced, and as long as you follow the size chart you should have a great fit. I will buythis one again.

Last one lasted three seasons. I hunt Traditional and shoot quite a bit in all weather from August through February hunting just about anything I can legally hunt. My old one is still useable but for the price I went ahead and got me another. Can't go wrong with this one. I like this glove because you can actually feel the bow string throug it. There may be better ones out there but this glove does more than I need. Especially for the price. I have been shooting more and more and I will be pruchasing another soon. I am sure of it.

The glove was extremely comfortable from the first time I put it on, no break in time needed. Would be a great spare to take along on hunts for when you lose or ruin or wear out your old favorite glove, and dont have the time to break in a new one.

This is a great glove. I use this hunting and target shooting and it always does me great. I lost my original one and looked at other gloves. I shoot every day in the morning and after work. I won't shoot without my glove. It will last a year if not better. That's a lot of shooting. Put a little baby powder on the glove and watch those arrows fly.

I really like these but every pair I have I have to get resewn because the glove comes unstitched from the velcro wrist wrap. They should double stitch this and eliminate the problem.

This glove fits nice, feels nice, and doesn't interfere at all with pull or release of bow string. It gives me the protection without the "clumsy" feel of other gloves I've tried. I use it for hunting and mounted archery where you can't have anything interfering with draw speed. Only Con I can think of is it might not be thick enough protection for heavy draws of 60+. Otherwise, I strongly recommend!

Good for target shooting and hunting. I really like the fit once it brakes in. Could be beefed up a bit for hunting rough terrian but maybe I should use a heavier duty glove for that. Anyway I like it better than a tab and shoots great with an over glove (with shooing fingers cut off) in cold weather. Not bad with the over glove while quail hunting with shotgun in cold weather too. Me likey.

I just started shooting traditional, so this is the first finger glove I have used. So far it has performed as advertised. I feel that I have large hands, but based on 3R recommendations I bought a medium and it fits perfectly. When I wear it out I'll get back to you on how it performed in the long run. Very comfortable glove. Had to wear my deerskin glove for a whole year before it got as soft as this one. The only complaint I could find about this glove is that the velcro strap is very thin and narrow. It has sharper edges that can be uncomfortable if you like to wear your gloves tight.

I use the glove for target shooting. It fits so well that I hardly notice I have it on. There is no rub from the bowstring when using this glove; it's a great protection for the fingers. It also looks very nice; actually one of the nicer looking ones that isn't expensive.

I first ordered the medium size, based on the sizing chart in the catalog, but found the glove to be too small in length. The wrist band rode up onto my thumb. I returned it for the large size. The wrist band fits properly, but the fingers feel bulky. I am having some trouble having consistent smooth releases. Although I think the glove may be contributing to this problem, I am also still on the learning curve.

No matter how I adjusted this glove it wouldn't sit right on my hand. I had an identical glove that I can't find the package to that sits perfect on my hand. Good thing I didn't throw the old one away. This has been relegated to back-up duty.

I have used this glove for eight years and have found it to be the only glove that will hold up to the demands I place on my equipment.

I have been using a three under tab, and for some reason, I released sooner than expected. A friend recommended the glove, and I love it!! It has made my release so much smoother, and I can feel the string, instead of guessing where my fingers are at on the bowstring. This is a great product, I have two, and will continue to use them in all my Archery tournaments and when I bow hunt with my sons. I have been using these gloves for about 10 years they have just the right amount of protection right out of the package. There is no break in to wait for they are ready out of the bag. Cons are it is a one year glove when you shoot as much as I do which is alot maybe a 2 year glove for most.

I would use this glove every time I shoot except when the weather is the very hottest. It feels so good on I forget it's on my hand. I like being able to feel the string but it still protects me.

I compete regularly in traditional archery, and am always looking for that little something to smooth out my release.

In theory, and on the web page, the Damascus glove seemed like it would be a valuable addition to my regime.

However, the glove is a little too thin for my liking, and was almost akin to having my bare fingers on the string of my bow. I gave it to my nephew, as his bow poundage is much lighter than mine, and he does not seem to have any issues.

Great feeling glove, thin enough you can really feel the string, but perhaps a little too thin for daily practice. Mine shows some wear after only a couple of weeks of shooting every couple of days.Will be a great back up or hunting glove. Just practice with it enough to get to "know" the feel of it and then take it hunting. So far it shows enough wear that it may not be the best for daily shooting.

Dasmascus is a good glove. However, when going to heavier draw weights and accidentally "plucking" the string, the fingers are not that well protected. Also, I tried a new Dasmascus and the top, thin layer of leather, or color of glove, started to peel off. This may just be an anamoly as I have experienced with a "full" glove in the past and may not hurt glove performance. I still have a Dasmascus from 2 years ago. Its my back-up to a more heavy duty glove.

When I started out doing reenactments a few years back I thought it was a great glove and loved it when I was shooting lower poundages from 45-60 but as I started moving up in poundage to the 85-110 range it was too thin for me and made shooting all day uncomfortable. Also with higher poundages my release was getting worse because the string would get caught up in the fingers. Great glove, but for the higher #'s I'll stick with my homemade leather tab.

Great glove. I agree with other reviews that said this glove was "already broken in." Have been using this glove quite a bit over the last two years and am only now seeing wear, but not really anything detrimental. Good value. Nice looking. Good protection without being bulky or stiff.

I love this glove. Releases are quiet, smooth, with great feel. I've had my last one for a decade and tried a few new ones before going with my original choice. The only draw back is that if you are around a smoker and that smell gets in the leather, it's there.

So light it feels like your not wearing anything, yet really strong and protective in the right area. It moulds to your skin and allows for a really slick and smooth release. A top tip is to wet it and allow to dry on the hand.

For years I only used the damascus glove. I had ones I bought 15 years ago and they finally fell apart and just plain wore out. I tried around 8 differnet gloves over the past 2 years and could never find one that fit and allowed me to release the way I was used to. So I finally broke down and ordered 3 of them. I gave one to my buddy and he loves it! Stick with what works best for you! Highly recommend this glove to any and all.
