This is a very well constructed guard, easy to get off and on and can be easily adjusted. Mine came a little darker than the one shown, but I think I actually like it better.

Although I spent a little time getting the bungie adjusted it was worth the effort. This is a comfortable, strong yet sift leather arm guard. Great price, awesome quality and great looks.
Comments about Deluxe Bone Armguard:
This is a very comfortable and good looking armguard. I have no doubt it would prevent bruising from whatever a bowstring or a bullwhip could dish out. Hard to say too much about how well constructed and purty it is.
It is not ambidextrous. I don't know where I got the idea that it would be. I have read the description over and over, and it does not say "left or right" or anything of the sort. My mistake. Don't get me wrong; you can put it on your right arm. When you do, the wonderful bone buttons will be right over your ulna bone (pinky finger edge of you forearm). They will catch brush, and you can't rest your bow arm on anything, because the hard buttons are uncomfortable and make noise and will eventually get all dinged up.
For a right hander, it's great. The buttons end up on the back (hairy) side of the forearm, toward the radius (thumb side bone), but not sitting on it, out of the way, not about to snag everything, and (if you care about looks), they are favorably displayed so people can see what good aesthetic taste you have in armguards and buttons. Also, it is very easy to use the buttons and loops to put it on and take it off, if you are right handed (but not if you are left handed).
I would certainly recommend this armguard to any right handed archer friend of mine. In fact, it's so nice, I'm not even going to send it back, even though I can't use it. I'm going to give this armguard to a right handed archer friend of mine.
(Not generally one to nitpick, but those little moulded plastic keeper beads on the elastic loops could be switched out for something nicer. Or just sand the mould marks and shine off of them.)

I am a self taught beginner. I will be the first to admit that I don't know what I'm doing but I can repeatedly hit bullseyes from 20 yards out with a primitive bow and wooden arrows... that's gotta count for something right? Lord only knows what I'm doing wrong but that string smacks my protective arm so badly that it makes me scream and curse. I have bruises to prove it... do they make a kevlar one?
